في اطار نشاطاتها الدولية ، نظمت المؤسسة العراقية للسياسات الخارجية ندوتها الحوارية (( دور الاعلام في حل النزاعات وبناء السلام وجهود المصالحة )) في جنيف ، سويسرا . من خلال تعاونها مع مركز جنيف للسياسات الامنية وممثلية العراق في الامم المتحدة وهيئة الاعلام والاتصالات .
مضي العراق في نشر ثقافة التسامح ، واشاعة الحريات ، والتمسك بالمبادئ الديموقراطية السامية ، والاشادة بالتضحيات الجسام لوسائل الاعلام العراقية في تعزيز الديموقراطية ومكافحة الارهاب وتحقيق الانسجام المجتمعي كانت ابرز محاور كلمة الدكتور علي المؤيد رئيس الجهاز التنفيذي لهيئة الاعلام والاتصالات حيث تمت استضافته وسعادة السفير الدكتور عبد الكريم هاشم ممثل العراق في الامم المتحدة ، في مقر المركز لتسليط الضوء على التطور الحاصل في الحريات الاعلامية بعد سقوط النظام الدكتاتوري في عام ٢٠٠٣ ، والتعاون من قبل المؤسسة القضائية في اطار توفير المناخات الامنة لعمل الصحفيين ومزاولة اعمالهم بحرية وفقا للدستور العراقي .
المؤسسة العراقية للسياسات الخارجية ركزت من خلال كلمتها على دعم حرية التعبير وتعدد الاراء الى جانب انضاج اسس رصينة لرسائل اعلامية تمثل قاعدة للتوجيه المجتمعي وخصوصا للفئات الشابة من اجل تعزيز وارساء اسس التحول الديموقراطي وبناء مجتمع مسالم وانهاء اي شكل من اشكال التطرف في الرأي من اجل بناء عراق امن يتطلع الى النمو والسلام المستدام .
اثرى الندوة حضور نخبة متميزة من السفراء ، الباحثين والاكاديميين ، ووسائل الاعلام الغربية .

As part of its international activities, the Iraqi Foundation for Foreign Policies organised its panel discussion entitled (The Role of the Media in Conflict Resolution, Peace Building, and Reconciliation Efforts) in Geneva, Switzerland. This was in cooperation with the Geneva Center for Security Policy, the Iraqi representation at the United Nations, and the Communications and Media Commission.
Iraq continuation to spread the culture of tolerance, spreading freedoms, adhering to noble democratic principles, and praising the great sacrifices of the Iraqi media in consolidating democracy, combating terrorism, and achieving societal harmony. These were the most prominent topics and themes of the speech of Dr. Ali Al-Moayyed, Head of the executive body of the Communications and Media Commission, where he and His Excellency the Ambassador, Dr. Abdul Karim Hashim, Iraq’s representative to the United Nations, were hosted at the Geneva center’s headquarter to highlight the development in media freedoms after the fall of the dictatorial regime in 2003, and the cooperation of the judicial institution in the framework of providing safe atmosphere for journalists and media professionals to work and carry out their work freely in accordance with the Iraqi constitution.
The Iraqi Foundation for Foreign Policies focused, through its speech, on supporting freedom of speech and diversity of opinions, in addition to developing solid foundations for media messages that represent a basis for societal guidance, especially for the youth, in order to strengthen and lay the foundations for democratic transformation, building a peaceful society, and ending any form of extremism in opinion, in order to build a secure Iraq that aspires to sustainable development and peace.
The session was enriched by the presence of a distinguished elite group of ambassadors, researchers, academics, and media professionals from Western media.
