Sisters in Hoops Sisters in Hoops aims to build confidence and leadership abilities in young Iraqi women through increased access to athletics opportunities.

Sisters In Hoops hopes to make the experience of playing basketball and participating on a team a possibility for all young women in their country. In doing so, Sisters In Hoops also hopes to create a sustainable network of support for Iraqi women of all ages, regions, religions, and social classes. Sisters in Hoops aims to give every girl in Iraq an opportunity to play sports and learn the ethics

of teamwork, fair play, and unity so integral to women as they seek leadership roles in a democratic Iraq. In order to accomplish this goal, Iraqi women will be front and center as organizers, coaches, and participants in every Sisters in Hoops event in Iraq.
