Revamping 12 classrooms in Baghdeda! 💪 After installing the secondary ceiling, we're now repairing and painting all the walls, and installing modern lights for the Mar Afram and Ashurbanipal Syriac schools! Thank you to all the supporters of OU CASA's 2026 Casablanca fundraiser and Stand With Iraqi Christians 💙Close to 400 students and staff members will benefit from this project.

Greetings from Baghdeda, where we've begun rehabilitation work for the Mar Afram Secondary and Ashurbanipal Primary Syriac schools! Earlier in the year, we installed an electrical solar system and heating/cooling units in the two schools. Now, thanks to the Chaldean American Student Association at Oakland University - OU CASA's 2026 Casablanca Gala and Stand With Iraqi Christians, we're making further improvements in order to provide the best learning environment for the 360 students! First, we're installing a secondary ceiling to better insulate the rooms, with the goal of putting less pressure on the solar system, allowing it to last much longer. It will also help us install modern lights. Thank you from the homeland!

The first project supported by the 2026 Golden Key Group Gala is complete! We took a 25-year-old hall at the Alqosh Sports Club and completely revamped it into a new ping-pong center. Soon, the club will be holding tournaments. The community now has a new healthy activity for both males and female! 🏓

Besides the main objectives, our projects also provide crucial freelance work for the local community. From electricians to welders, construction workers, painters, drivers, and others, these projects help inject new money into the local economy. Thanks to everyone who supported the 2026 Golden Key Group Gala, we’ve been busy this month bringing a hall at the Alqosh Sports Club back to life and providing a healthy activity for the community by turning it into a ping-pong center!

We'd like to give a big shout-out to Alqosh Sports Club President Wisam Harmiz. Despite his position, Wisam has always been willing to do whatever he can to help his organization, and that meant even putting in labor work. This month, we began rehabilitating their hall and make use of it as a ping-pong room. Wisam helped in so many ways, with the goal of saving as much money as possible so that we could spend the least amount. We've known Wisam for many years, and he has shown his humility on many occasions. We're grateful for all the people that supported the 2026 Golden Key Group Gala, so that we could empower people like Wisam.

We would like to give a big thank you to Abona Anis Yaqub for blessing the opening of Shaqlabad’s headquarters, as we finally completed Phase 2! This project was made possible thanks to our individual donors, including our generous Gabbare monthly members. With donors from the Assyrian Chaldean Syriac diaspora communities around the world, we empowered young people for a stronger future.

Our project in Shaqlawa is complete! Shlama from this historic town, where we have opened the Shaqlabad Youth Organization Center, thanks to all of our individual donors from around the world. Last year, we completely rehabilitated this house to make it usable again. This year, the 2nd phase included heating/cooling, curtains, furniture, gardening, and other smaller items. The center has already held many activities, including chess tournaments and celebrations of the Feast of the Cross. Thank you from the homeland!
