Congrats to Khalida for opening her stationery shop! As part of our small business support in Batnaya, this is our 8th and final small business to open. This project is a two-phase, $40,000 investment in the town that brought back a building which had sat destroyed for 10 years following the ISIS invasion. As part of the project, all shop owners are enjoying 50 months of rent-free occupancy, giving them time to establish and grow their businesses. Phase 2 was made possible by L'Œuvre d'Orient and Région Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes 💙 🇫🇷 Thank you from the homeland!

We're in our 3rd and final stop for the robotics engineering workshop! The Mar Qardakh International School in Ankawa is owned and operated by the Chaldean Catholic Church, and with support from the 2025 Matthew's Masterpieces, we provided a hands-on workshop designed to inspire the next generation of engineers at the school. We're in our 3rd and final stop for the robotics engineering workshop! The Mar Qardakh International School in Ankawa is owned and operated by the Chaldean Catholic Church, and with support from the 2025 Matthew's Masterpieces, we provided a hands-on workshop designed to inspire the next generation of engineers at the school. Next stop: Ankawa! Recent Oakland University engineering graduate Ramiz Francis is leading a robotics engineering course for young students, and this time we're at The Space! With support from the 2025 Matthew's Masterpieces, we're providing a hands-on workshop designed to inspire the next generation of engineers. Held at The Space, a community center operated by The Return • ܕܥܪܬܐ, the course gives students the opportunity to build, experiment, and develop practical engineering skills. Thanks to everyone who attended and supported the 2025 Matthew's Masterpieces, to Ramiz for volunteering his time and expertise, and to the incredible volunteers at The Return Organization for making this workshop possible.

Greetings from Alqosh, where we're conducting a robotics engineering course for young students! With support from the 2025 Matthew's Masterpieces, recent Oakland University engineering graduate Ramiz Francis is leading a hands-on workshop designed to inspire the next generation of engineers. Held at Shuqa Ateeqa Cafe, a community space we rehabilitated last year in Alqosh, the course gives students the opportunity to build, experiment, and develop practical engineering skills while working with others. Shoutout to our three amazing solar engineers! Amanda, Adera, and Rami led the design and installation of our latest solar energy project in Baghdeda, which provides electricity, heating, and cooling for 365 students. They make up the Shlama Green Energy and have implemented countless solar projects since 2020.

70 solar panels have arrived! ☀ Shlama from Baghdeda, where our team at Shlama Green Energy installed a 40-kilowatt solar energy system that will provide reliable electricity and power proper heating and cooling in classrooms for the first time in over 2 decades. In partnership with Stand With Iraqi Christians, this $35,000 investment will help create a better learning environment for the 365 students attending Ashurbanipal Primary and Mar Afram Secondary Syriac Schools. A special thank you to our donor partners, the American Foundation for Relief and Reconciliation in the Middle East , Assyrian Aid Society of America, and the DT Institute, for helping make this project possible.
