Anderson Theological College, accredited by the Asia Theological Association (ATA), successfully conducted its 29th Graduation Exercise under the theme, “Finishing Strong” (2 Timothy 4:6-8) on 10th April 2026 (9:00am) at Centre Baptist Church Aizuto.

The Governing Body of ATC, faculty members, church leaders, families, and well-wishers gathered to witness and celebrate the achievements of the graduates.

A total of 31 students graduated during the ceremony, including 10 from the Master of Divinity (M.Div) programme, 17 from the Bachelor of Theology (B.Th), and 4 from the Diploma in Theology.
Degrees and certificates were conferred upon the graduating students by Dr. Sh*tovi Sumi, Principal, marking the successful completion of their academic and spiritual formation at Anderson Theological College.

Rev. Inakhu Sumi, Pastor Zunheboto Town Sumi Baptist Church was the guest graduation speaker.

As the graduates step into the next phase of their calling, the college wishes the best to all the graduates.

Anderson Theological College joyfully celebrated its 32nd Foundation and Cultural Day on 14/02/2026 under the theme, “Roots and Routes.”

The college was deeply honored to welcome Rev. Mulato Chishi the first Principal of the College as the esteemed guest speaker.

In the first session, Dr. Sh*tovi Sumi, Principal warmly welcomed the guest speaker, and invitees.

The principal briefly explained why the event is significant, highlighted the contributions and achievements of the pioneers of the college and why they are honored on this day.

Rev. Mulato Chishi shared heartfelt reflections on the early days of ATC and its humble beginnings. He reminded the family of ATC about the sacrifices, faith, and vision that laid the foundation of the institution, encouraging the ATC community to cherish and preserve these roots.

In his address, he strongly affirmed that ATC will continue to stand firm as an institution that upholds the Bible as the Sole Authority and the Bible as the main textbook. He emphasized that this commitment defines the spiritual and academic identity of the College.
Expounding on the theme, he spoke on the importance of being rooted and grounded in Christ, assuring that a life firmly established in Him will ultimately bear the fruit of love. He further encouraged students to live with the assurance of salvation and to remain steadfast in their commitment to their calling and spiritual growth.

The second session was a celebration enriched with vibrant cultural presentations by the students.

The diverse Cultural display showcased by the students were the Highlights of the second session. Some of the cultural activities were:
1. Sumi Women folk dance
2. Sumi Men folk dance
3. Phom folk dance
4. Arunachali dance
5. Sumi Women Folk song (Thighale)
6. Nepali dance
7. Rongmei folk dance (Manipur)
8. Reang traditional dance (Tripura)
9. Burmese traditional dance
10. Sumi Traditional war cry
11. Top spinning
12. Traditional fire making
13. Püxa kuxu (Women)
14. Sholupha kitche (Traditional Spearing).

The event was a grand success and served as a reminder of the college’s proud legacy and its continued pursuit for excellence.

The college extends heartfelt gratitude to the guest speaker, and participants for their invaluable contributions.
