PUBLIC NOTICE

PROPOSED WIDENING OF SIYA KIILEY RIVERBANK ROAD UP TO HARIISII

ApaTani Youth Association (AYA) hereby officially announces its initiative for the widening of riverbank area from Siya Kiiley Bridge to the Hariisii Riverbank, with the objective of protecting the riverbank, preserving public space, and ensuring the long-term welfare of the Apatani community.

AYA has consistently taken initiatives for community development and public welfare, including road-widening activities across various parts of Ziro. In the course of its observations, AYA has noted concerns regarding the occupation of portions of the Kiiley Riverbank by individuals. AYA is therefore committed to taking appropriate steps towards the protection and preservation of the Kiiley Riverbank in Ziro for the benefit of the community and future generations.

Accordingly, all landowners, plot holders, stakeholders, and concerned individuals along the stretch from Siya Kiiley Bridge to Hariisii are requested to remain present at their respective plots on 24 October 2026 to witness the proposed road and riverbank widening exercise.

Anyone having any claims, objections, or concerns regarding the proposed widening is also requested to be present at the site on the scheduled date to bring the same to the notice of the concerned team for consideration.

Furthermore, AYA sincerely appeals to the following organisations and the general public to witness and participate in this important community initiative:

* ZPM Kalung
* All Kalung Development Committees
* All Kalung Gaon Bura–Buri Associations
* The general public of Kalung
* All concerned stakeholders and community members

AYA believes that collective participation, mutual understanding, and cooperation are essential for protecting our riverbanks and safeguarding our community's common interests.

Let us come together to protect Kiiley River, preserve our riverbanks, and work towards a cleaner, safer, and better-planned Ziro.

📢 OFFICIAL REPRESENTATION BY APATANI YOUTH ASSOCIATION (AYA)

The ApaTani Youth Association (AYA) has submitted a formal representation to the Superintendent of Police, Lower Subansiri District, requesting consideration of the transfer of the present Officer-in-Charge (OC), Old Ziro Police Station, within 15 days, subject to applicable rules and administrative procedures.

AYA has emphasized the importance of maintaining a healthy, respectful and harmonious relationship between the police administration and the local community. We believe that effective policing should go hand-in-hand with a people-friendly, approachable, understanding and community-oriented approach, while upholding the rule of law impartially and responsibly.

The representation also highlights the expectations of the local community for an officer who can act as a protector, facilitator of peace and responsible law-enforcement officer, while maintaining cordial relations and public confidence.

AYA respectfully urges the competent authorities to kindly examine the matter and take appropriate action in the larger interest of public trust, community harmony and effective policing in Ziro.

In view of the upcoming Ziro Festival of Music (ZFM) and increased public movement in Ziro, the Apatani Youth Association (AYA) appeals to all residents, visitors and stakeholders to maintain a drug-free, safe and peaceful environment.
DIRECTIVES
1. Strictly refrain from the use, possession, sale, distribution or promotion of illegal drugs and narcotic substances.
2. Do not involve or encourage young people and students in any form of substance abuse.
3. Report information regarding suspected drug-related activities to the competent authorities through appropriate channels.
4. Parents, community members, event organizers and visitors are requested to remain vigilant and cooperate in protecting our youth.
5. All visitors are requested to respect the law, local culture, community values and public safety of Ziro.

⚡ ENGAGING YOUTH, EMPOWERING FUTURES: HON'BLE MP TAI TAGAK AND DIGNITARIES INTERACT WITH AYA ⚡

The Apatani Youth Association (AYA) Office in Ziro became a hub of inspiration on September 16, 2026, as we had the distinct honour of hosting a meaningful interaction program with a distinguished delegation of leaders.
We were privileged to welcome Hon’ble Tai Tagak, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), along with Shri Gyamar Tuvin (Corporator, Ward No. 14), Shri Rubu Tadii (ZPM, Lempia), and Shri Nada Buda (General Secretary, Hapoli Bazaar Committee), who visited the AYA Office for this special interactive session.
During this productive program, the Hon’ble MP shared invaluable insights into various national-level youth programs and upcoming sports opportunities designed to empower the younger generation. He strongly advised and encouraged AYA to step forward and serve as the true torchbearers of the Apatani community, leading our people with vision, unity, and responsibility.
# # 🌟 Key Highlights of the Program:

* Entrepreneurial Presence: The event was graced by Miss Kago Tanu, Proprietor of TANKASA Organic Wing (K.T. Marketing), showcasing local entrepreneurship and youth enterprise.
* Boxing Demonstration: An exciting live boxing demonstration round was successfully conducted under the guidance of Shri Payang Tabyo, President of the Lower Subansiri District Boxing Association, along with his dedicated team.
* Honouring Champions: In a proud moment for our community, Hon’ble MP Tai Tagak felicitated all the state-level boxing winners from the recent 2026 Arunachal State Level Boxing Competition, celebrating their hard work and stellar achievements.

AYA extends its deepest gratitude to the Hon’ble MP and all the visiting dignitaries for their valuable time, inspiring words, and unwavering support towards youth development, leadership, and sports in our region!
