the UPPER SIANG DISTRICT OLYMPIC ASSOCIATION (NGO):
Organizational and Legal Documents
1. NGO Societies Registration Certificate: This is the primary legal document proving the NGO is officially registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860, which is applicable in Arunachal Pradesh. This certificate is issued by the Registrar of Societies in the state and is essential for the NGO to operate legally.
10. NGO Bye Law: Also known as the Rules and Regulations or Memorandum of Association (MoA), this document outlines the internal management, objectives, name, address, and operational guidelines of the association. It is submitted during the registration process.
Financial and Compliance Documents
2. CSR Registration Certificate: This registration (often associated with an NGO Darpan ID) is crucial for an NGO to be eligible to receive funding under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives from companies in India.
3. 80G Registration Certificate: This certificate, issued by the Income Tax Department, allows donors to the NGO to claim a tax deduction on their contributions. It enhances the NGO's fundraising capabilities.
4. 12A Registration Certificate: This document grants the NGO tax-exempt status on its income, meaning it is not required to pay tax on its earnings if used for its stated charitable or sports-promotion objectives. It is a prerequisite for obtaining 80G registration.
8. NGO PAN Card: This is the Permanent Account Number card issued to the organization itself by the Income Tax Department, essential for all financial transactions, including receiving grants and maintaining a bank account.
9. NGO Account: This refers to the official bank account held in the name of the NGO, used to manage all its finances transparently. A cancelled cheque or recent bank statement is often required for various registrations.
11. NGO Annual Audit Report: This is a mandatory financial statement, audited by a qualified professional, detailing the NGO's income and expenditure for a financial year. It ensures financial transparency and accountability.
Government and Other Registrations
5. DARPAN Registration Certificate: Registration on the NITI Aayog's NGO Darpan portal provides the NGO with a Unique ID and formal recognition by the Central Government of India. It is mandatory for applying for most government schemes/grants and often a prerequisite for FCRA registration.
6. E-ANUDAN Registration Certificate: E-Anudan is likely a specific portal or process for applying for government grants electronically. Registration on platforms like the Arunachal e-Services Portal allows NGOs to apply for various services and track application status online.
7. ISO Registration Certificate: An ISO certification indicates that the NGO adheres to specific international standards (e.g., in quality management, environmental management, etc.). While not a government mandate in India for operation, it can enhance credibility and is often a voluntary certification.
Activity Documentation
12. Annual Activity Report (Souvenir Book): This document provides details about the NGO's programs, projects, events, and achievements throughout the year. It is often used to show progress to donors, government bodies, and members.
