Justice for 606 Tribal Project Displaced Families
For many years, hundreds of Scheduled Tribe families displaced by Singareni mining projects have been waiting for their rightful employment and rehabilitation. These families sacrificed their lands and livelihoods for development, but many continue to await the benefits promised under government policies.
With a firm commitment to justice, Mahashakthi Organization, under the leadership of Shri Maloth Dilipkumar, has been consistently raising this issue before the appropriate authorities. Through representations, legal proceedings, RTI applications, and petitions before the National Commission for Scheduled Tribes (NCST), the organization has worked tirelessly to ensure that the voices of tribal project displaced families are heard.
The recent proceedings before the National Commission for Scheduled Tribes (NCST) mark an important step in this ongoing movement. During the hearing, the Commission directed the concerned authorities to submit project-wise records, explain the difference between the petitioner's claim of 606 Tribal Project Displaced Families and SCCL's figures, provide complete details of employment already given, submit the status of pending cases, and furnish all relevant records for further examination.
