On 07 September 2026, the NSS Volunteers of Seshadripuram First Grade College, Yelahanka New Town, Bengaluru, actively participated in the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Quiz Programme.

🇮🇳✨ Empowering Youth Through Gandhian Values! ✨🇮🇳

The NSS Volunteers of Seshadripuram First Grade College, Yelahanka New Town, Bengaluru, proudly participated in the Seven-Day All India University Students’ Youth Camp on “Human Values Through Gandhian Thoughts”, held from 24th to 30th August 2026 at Karnataka State Rural Development and Panchayat Raj University, Gadag.

🌱 Organised by the Karnataka Gandhi Smaraka Nidhi, Bengaluru, the camp provided an inspiring platform for young students to learn and reflect on Gandhian values, human values, leadership, discipline, unity, peace, and social responsibility.

🤝 Through meaningful sessions, activities, discussions, and interactions, our NSS Volunteers enriched their understanding of Gandhian philosophy and the importance of selfless service to society.

🏅 Viksit Bharat Yuva Connect – National Sports Day 2026 🏅
“Khelo India Samvaad – Khel Ki Baat PM Ke Saath”

The NSS Units and Department of Physical Education of Seshadripuram First Grade College (SFGC), Yelahanka New Town, Bengaluru, successfully organised Viksit Bharat Yuva Connect – National Sports Day 2026 on 27th August 2026 in association with MY Bharat, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India.

The programme witnessed the inspiring virtual address of the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, encouraging youth to embrace sports, fitness, discipline, and teamwork towards building a Viksit Bharat.

The event featured an engaging interaction with eminent sports personalities and youth mentors — Shri Sharan Setty, Youth Mentor, MY Bharat; Shri Prakash Nanjappa, Arjuna Awardee & Olympian; and Ms. Radha Venkatesh, International Para Athlete & Ekalavya Awardee — who motivated students to pursue excellence in sports and life.

The programme was graced by the Presidential Address of Dr. S. N. Venkatesh, Principal, SFGC, who highlighted the importance of youth empowerment, leadership, and responsible citizenship.

As part of the initiative, NSS volunteers and Physical Education students were encouraged to register on the MY Bharat Portal and participate in the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue, providing youth a platform to share ideas and contribute towards nation-building.

The Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat Pledge was administered by Prof. Naveen Kumar K.S., NSS Officer & MY Bharat Nodal Officer, SFGC, promoting a healthy and drug-free lifestyle among students.

✨ The celebration concluded with the National Anthem, group photography, and Fit India/Sporting activities, inspiring students to adopt fitness, sportsmanship, and active participation for a stronger and healthier India.

Seshadripuram First Grade College, Yelahanka New Town, Bengaluru, proudly congratulates our six NSS Volunteers — Mr. Manoj M.P., Mr. Jon Wellesley, Mr. Karthik, Ms. Keerthana J., Ms. Niharika H.N., and Ms. Veena D.J. — on being selected to participate in the National-Level All India University Students & Youth Camp on Human Values Through Gandhian Thoughts, scheduled from 24th to 30th August 2026. 🇮🇳🌿

The camp is organised by the Central Gandhi Smarak Nidhi and Karnataka Gandhi Smarak Nidhi, Bengaluru, in association with Karnataka State Rural Development and Panchayat Raj University (KSRDPRU), Gadag. The camp provides an enriching platform for young students to understand and practise Gandhian values, human values, social responsibility, peace, leadership and nation-building.

The selection of our six NSS Volunteers for this prestigious national-level camp is a proud moment for SFGC and the NSS family. Their dedication, enthusiasm and commitment to social service and youth leadership are truly commendable.

🇮🇳 Health & Eye Check-up Camp | Community Health Initiative

The NSS & YRC Units of Seshadripuram First Grade College, Yelahanka New Town, Bengaluru, in association with Shree Manjunatha Orthopaedic & Trauma Hospital (SMOT Hospital), Devanahalli, successfully conducted a Health & Eye Check-up Camp on 23rd August 2026 at Devanahalli Town, Bengaluru Rural District.

🏥 164 beneficiaries received free general health check-ups, eye examinations, medical consultations and medicines.

👥 Our NSS volunteers actively supported registration, patient assistance and programme coordination. They also created awareness among the local community about cleanliness, personal hygiene, sanitation, eye care and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

👏 The programme reflects the commitment of NSS and YRC towards community service, social responsibility and public welfare.

🌟 International Youth Day | State-Level Youth Orientation Workshop 🌟

The NSS Volunteers of Seshadripuram First Grade College, Yelahanka New Town, Bengaluru, actively participated in the State-Level Youth Orientation Workshop held on 19th August 2026 at Gandhi Bhavan, Bengaluru.

The workshop focused on youth physical and mental health, addiction and substance-use prevention, healthy living, and the relevance of Gandhian values in contemporary society.

The sessions provided valuable insights and motivated young participants to make responsible choices, adopt healthy practices and contribute positively to society.
