On 23rd March 2026, under the guidance of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports and in association with the NSS Unit of Seshadripuram First Grade College, Yelahanka, MY Bharat Bengaluru organized a programme to honor the brave martyrs of our nation. The event aimed to inspire patriotism, social responsibility, and community service among volunteers and the local community.

The programme included a Padayatra (Awareness Walk) from the college to LBS Nagar, where volunteers raised slogans promoting national unity and respect for martyrs. This was followed by a Slum Cleaning and Plastic Collection Drive, educating residents about proper waste disposal and hygiene.

The initiative successfully paid tribute to the martyrs while encouraging youth participation, environmental responsibility, and civic awareness.

On 15 March 2026, during Day 5 of the NSS Annual Camp, the NSS Volunteers of Seshadripuram First Grade College, Yelahanka New Town, Bengaluru visited Ghati Subramanya Temple and sought the divine blessings of Lord Subramanya for the success of the camp and their service to society.

Life Skills Training Programme – Day 5
NSS Annual Village Camp 2025–26
Date: 15th March 2026

As part of the Day 5 activities of the NSS Annual Village Camp 2025–26, organized by the NSS Units of Seshadripuram First Grade College, Yelahanka New Town, Bengaluru, a Life Skills Training Session was conducted for the NSS volunteers on 15th March 2026 at Kelaginajuganahalli Village, Doddaballapur Taluk.

The session was led by Mrs. Janaki Mahesh, Life Skills Trainer from Yuva Spandana, an initiative of the Government of Karnataka aimed at promoting youth mental well-being and positive life practices. During the session, she explained the importance of life skills in building confidence, emotional balance, decision-making ability, communication skills, and stress management among youth.

Through interactive discussions and practical examples, the trainer encouraged NSS volunteers to develop a positive attitude, self-awareness, leadership qualities, and responsible social behaviour. The session also highlighted how young people can overcome challenges, manage peer pressure, and contribute effectively to society.

The programme was highly engaging and beneficial for the volunteers, helping them understand the importance of mental health, resilience, and life skills in their personal and social life. The NSS volunteers actively participated in the discussion and gained valuable insights for their future development.

The session concluded with an interaction where volunteers shared their thoughts and expressed gratitude to the resource person for the informative and inspiring session.

🎭 Skit Presentation on Social Awareness – NSS Annual Village Camp 2025–26 | Day 4

As part of the NSS Annual Village Camp 2025–26, the dedicated NSS volunteers of Seshadripuram First Grade College, Yelahanka New Town, Bengaluru organized an impactful Skit Presentation Programme to spread awareness on important social issues among the villagers.

The volunteers performed powerful and thought-provoking skits on themes such as Drug Abuse Awareness, Voter Awareness, Protection of Children under the POCSO Act, Prevention of Child Marriage, Women Empowerment, and Cancer Awareness. Through creative role play and engaging performances, the students highlighted the dangers of drug addiction, the importance of responsible voting, and the need to protect children from abuse and exploitation.

The skits also emphasized the legal and social consequences of child marriage, the importance of empowering women, and the need for awareness about early detection and prevention of cancer. The villagers appreciated the efforts of the volunteers for delivering meaningful messages in an informative and engaging way.

This activity not only created awareness in the community but also helped volunteers enhance their communication, leadership, and teamwork skills, reflecting the true spirit of the NSS motto: “Not Me But You.”
