*बुक ट्रेझर – वाचनातून आनंददायी शोधयात्रा!**ज्ञानज्योती डेव्हलपमेंट सेंटर(यवतमाळ )* हे शहरी वस्तीतील मुलांसाठी कार्यरत असलेले एक विकास केंद्र आहे. येथे मुलांनी अधिकाधिक वाचन करावे, आणि त्यातून त्यांची विचारशक्ती, कल्पनाशक्ती व आकलनशक्ती वाढावी यासाठी सातत्याने विविध उपक्रम राबवले जातात. आम्ही केवळ पुस्तकं “घेऊन वाचून संपवणं” या पद्धतीला प्रोत्साहन देत नाही, तर पुस्तकातील आशय, पात्रं, संदर्भ आणि शिकवण या गोष्टी लक्षात ठेवाव्यात, समजून घ्याव्यात यावर भर देतो. गेल्या काही दिवसांत मुलांनी जवळपास ४०-५० पुस्तके वाचून काढली. त्यानंतर या वाचनातुन त्यांनी काय आत्मसात केलं, हे समजून घेण्यासाठी आम्ही एक अनोखा आणि रंजक उपक्रम *‘बुक ट्रेझर’ म्हणजेच खजिना शोध* आयोजित केला. या उपक्रमात मुलांना पुस्तकांशी संबंधित कोडी देण्यात आली. जमिनीवर अनेक पुस्तके मांडण्यात आली होती आणि प्रत्येक मुलाला एक कोड्याची चिट्टी देण्यात आली. त्यांनी ते कोडे सोडवून योग्य पुस्तक शोधायचं होतं. सुरुवातीला थोडा गोंधळ होता, पण हळूहळू त्यांनी एकमेकांना विचारून, चर्चा करून आणि गटात काम करत उत्तरे शोधायला सुरुवात केली. कोडे सोडवताना त्यांच्या मेंदूला खूप काम लावावे लागले . निरीक्षण, स्मरण, विचार आणि कल्पना यांचा छान मिलाफ पाहायला मिळाला. विशेष म्हणजे, शेवटचं कोडं *पुस्तकाबाहेरील “खजिना”* शोधण्यासाठी होतं, पण त्यांची पूर्वकल्पना पुस्तकाच्या चौकटीतच अडकलेली असल्याने बरेच अंदाज आणि विचारमंथन झाले. शेवटी त्यांनी खजिना शोधून काढला आणि त्यांच्या चेहऱ्यावर उमटलेला आनंद खूपच बोलका होता. या उपक्रमानंतर त्यांना चविष्ट खाऊ चिवडा आणि चॉकलेट्स देण्यात आले. त्यानंतर सर्वांनी मिळून गटात खेळणी खेळत दिवसाची सुंदर सांगता केली. एकत्र खेळताना त्यांचं हास्य, मोकळेपणा आणि आनंद बघताना खरोखर समाधान वाटलं.*‘बुक ट्रेझर’* हा उपक्रम मुलांसाठी केवळ एक खेळ नव्हता, तर त्यांच्या वाचनातील समज, सहकार्य, चिकाटी आणि आनंद यांचा एक अविस्मरणीय अनुभव होता.*ज्ञानज्योती डेव्हलपमेंट सेंटर(यवतमाळ )**(पगारिया फाउंडेशन आणि ओवी फाउंडेशन यांचा सयुक्त *Book Treasure – A Joyful Quest Through Reading!**Dnyanjyoti Development Center (Yavatmal)* is a community-based development center working with children from urban settlements. The center consistently organizes engaging activities to encourage reading, aiming to enhance children's thinking skills, imagination, and comprehension.Here, we do not merely promote reading books for the sake of finishing them. Instead, we focus on helping children remember and understand the content, characters, contexts, and lessons from the stories they read.Over the past few weeks, the children read around 40–50 books. To explore what they had absorbed from their reading journey, we organized a unique and exciting activity called “Book Treasure” a treasure hunt based on books!In this activity, riddles related to the books were given to the children. A variety of books were displayed on the ground, and each child received a chit containing a clue. They had to solve the riddle to find the correct book. Although there was some confusion at first, the children gradually began collaborating, discussing, and solving the clues as a team. Their brains were actively engaged using observation, memory, logic, and creativity in tandem.A particularly special moment came with the final riddle, which led them to a *“treasure beyond the book.”* Most children initially searched only within the boundaries of the books, resulting in lively speculation and deep thinking. Eventually, they found the treasure, and the joy on their faces was truly heartwarming.To celebrate their success, the children were treated to a delicious snack of chivda and chocolates. The day concluded with group games, laughter, and a spirit of togetherness.
