K.Selvaraj started this charitable organization in 1994 in a rented building in Wayanad. This rehabilitation center is aimed at helping blind women by giving them free food, shelter, dress and vocational training. Further the organization took up a number of literary activities in Ernakulam and Idukki districts of Kerala. By 1997 the inmates of this institution moved into the new building, which h
ad been built for them. The initial strength of this institution was just 5 and now it has over 22 members that too from all over India. Since they do not receive any monetary aid from the government or other foreign organizations they have to strive for their daily living. Initially the inmates were taught to make medicine envelopes for the nearby hospitals. They are also being trained in chair weaving and typewriting and in using Braille language. Then in 1998 they introduced a scheme for the financial assistance to the children of the blind and in 1999 they a opened a school for the blind in Pathanamthitta. They have conducted over 18 bible campaigns all over Kerala in the past 17 years and were able to distribute 1751 Braille Gospel and 36 complete Braille bible 3 set of new testaments in Malayalam audio casettes in Malayalam to individuals and institutions all over Kerala. This ministry was even able to help over 27souls in accepting Lord Jesus Christ.
