When the summer sun rises harsh and strong, care becomes even more important.

With temperatures soaring between **42–45°C and still rising**, at the **Senior Day Care Center managed and organized by Bannu Arogyada Seva Society**, we are taking small yet meaningful steps to protect and support our elders during this intense heat.

To help them stay cool, nourished, and energized, we are providing **Raagi Java**—a healthy, cooling drink made from finger millet, rich in calcium, iron, and nutrients—and few a times **Majjiga (buttermilk)**, a refreshing traditional drink that helps keep the body hydrated and balanced in hot weather.

Beyond care for the body, this space continues to care for the heart. Our elders spend their time reading, playing indoor games, sitting together in small groups, and sharing their life experiences. In these gentle conversations, there is comfort, laughter, and a sense of belonging that makes every visit special.

Some come for a few minutes, others stay longer—but each one leaves feeling a little lighter, a little refreshed, and a lot more connected.

Because in this heat, more than anything, what truly matters is **care, companionship, and a place where one feels safe, valued, and at peace.**

Service continues where commitment is stronger than the season. ☀️💚

Under the **Grama Arogya Raksha** weekly health camp initiative of **Bannu Arogyada Seva Society**, another successful camp was conducted with dedication and compassion for the community. Despite the intense summer heat, our mission remains unchanged—to take essential healthcare services to the people every single week, without fail.

This week, **54 patients received OP consultations**. **Medicines were distributed**, and **basic diagnostic tests l** were conducted. **2 X-ray investigations** were also arranged for patients requiring further medical attention.

A committed team of **doctors, nurse, lab technician, and 3 volunteers** worked tirelessly together to make the camp successful and beneficial for all who attended.

For more than **one year and counting**, this service has continued steadily—**once every week**, overcoming challenges and standing firm on its objective to serve. No matter the season or the odds, the camp continues successfully with the same spirit of dedication.

Every week is not just a health camp—it is trust, consistency, and hope in action for the community.

**Bannu Arogyada Seva Society** remains committed to creating healthier villages through regular outreach and compassionate care.

Grama Arogya Raksha – Weekly Camp at Damanapeta

As part of our ongoing Grama Arogya Raksha initiative, this week’s health camp at Damanapeta witnessed encouraging participation from the community.

A total of 84 patients were attended during the camp. Essential investigations including CBP, HbA1c, RBS, urine tests, and other routine screenings were carried out, along with 5 X-rays.

Based on the doctors’ evaluation, medicines were provided according to each patient’s condition, ensuring appropriate care and guidance.

Every Saturday, our team travels from Hanamkonda to bring consistent and accessible healthcare closer to the people. The continued participation of villagers reflects growing awareness and trust in the initiative.

Despite the challenges of limited facilities and the intense summer heat, nothing has slowed our spirit. Our team continues to travel every week from Hanamkonda with the same commitment — ensuring that healthcare reaches those who need it the most.

Healthy Villages, Stronger Communities.

Senior Citizen Forum – Monthly Gathering

At the Senior Citizen Day Care Center managed by BANNU AROGYADĀ SEVA SOCIETY, our monthly Senior Citizen Forum Meeting brought together our beloved elders for a meaningful and joyful gathering.

These meetings are more than just a routine — they are a space where senior citizens come together to share their thoughts, experiences, and concerns, while also enjoying companionship and a sense of belonging. Conversations, laughter, and mutual support filled the atmosphere, reminding us that togetherness is the greatest strength at every stage of life.

Such gatherings help in building confidence, emotional well-being, and a strong community bond among our senior citizen family.

We are truly grateful to all our elders for their active participation and for making every meeting lively and inspiring. 💛

Because age is not a barrier — it is a journey best shared together. “Our elders are living libraries of wisdom — it is our duty to care for them, stand by them, and learn from the journeys they have lived.”

When Support Becomes Survival – A Story from Kasthurba Gandhi Seva Gram

At Kasthurba Gandhi Seva Gram, managed by BANNU AROGYADA SEVA SOCIETY, every bed, every wall, every small facility carries a story of someone in need.

A mother arrived at MGM Hospital with her young child Chaitanya (below 7 years), admitted in the children’s ward. What followed were days filled with fear, uncertainty, and silent struggle.

With another child by her side and a relative accompanying her, she had nowhere to go. For 3–4 days, they lived under a tree in the hospital premises — waiting, worrying, and holding on.

One child inside the ward fighting illness. One child outside, needing care. And a mother, torn between both… with no shelter.

A small act of guidance from a security guard brought her to Kasthurba Gandhi Seva Gram — and in that moment, everything changed.

Today, she has: A safe roof over her family’s head,
A place where her other child can rest without fear,
Basic cooking facilities, clean water, and a dignified environment,
All at a nominal charge of just ₹125 per day for four members.

With tears in her eyes, she shared her gratitude — not in words, but in emotion. Because for her, this is not just a facility… it is relief, stability, and hope during one of the hardest phases of her life.

Her child may need to stay in the hospital for several more days. But now, she no longer has to worry about where her family will sleep tonight.

This is the impact of care. This is the value of a simple space built with compassion.

Because sometimes, helping someone doesn’t mean curing an illness — it means standing by them while they fight it.
