वृंदावन शोध संस्थान में आयोजित पाँच दिवसीय संरक्षण कार्यशाला के दूसरे दिन प्रतिभागियों को पांडुलिपियों के प्राथमिक एवं उपचारात्मक संरक्षण की गहन जानकारी दी गई। इस दौरान फंगल इन्फेक्शन, कीटों से सुरक्षा, तथा उपयुक्त वातावरण (प्रकाश, तापमान, आर्द्रता) बनाए रखने के तरीकों पर विस्तार से चर्चा हुई।

विशेष प्रशिक्षण सत्र में श्री प्रमोद कुमार पाण्डेय ने पांडुलिपि फोल्डर बनाने की विधि सिखाई, वहीं संस्थान के निदेशक डॉ. राजीव द्विवेदी ने संस्थान की संरक्षण गतिविधियों और राष्ट्रीय पाण्डुलिपि मिशन में इसकी महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका पर प्रकाश डाला।

देशभर के विभिन्न विश्वविद्यालयों और संस्थानों से आए प्रतिभागियों की सक्रिय सहभागिता इस कार्यशाला को और भी सार्थक बना रही है।

शोध - प्रकाशन अनुभाग गतिविधि

वृन्दावन रिसर्च इंस्टीट्यूट का शोध एवं प्रकाशन अनुभाग भारतीय संस्कृति, दर्शन, साहित्य और प्राचीन पांडुलिपियों के संरक्षण तथा अध्ययन के लिए समर्पित है। इस अनुभाग के अंतर्गत विद्वानों द्वारा विभिन्न विषयों पर गहन शोध कार्य किया जाता है तथा प्राचीन ग्रंथों, दुर्लभ पांडुलिपियों और सांस्कृतिक धरोहरों का संपादन, अनुवाद और प्रकाशन किया जाता है।
