The Government of Andhra Pradesh has appointed Sri Venkata Satyanarayana Raju Samantapudi as the Vice-Chancellor of Acharya Nagarjuna University.

He's a scholar of etymology and was previously associated with Banaras Hindu University in Uttar Pradesh.

This appointment was confirmed by Governor S. Abdul Nazeer on October 8, 2025.
