💥INTERACTION WITH RUSSIAN DELEGATION - MR. MAMED AKHMEDOV💥

🔥On Friday, 14th November 2025,🔥 our VCCI Vice President ⚡Mr. K V Krishna Kumar, Secretary ⚡Mr. P. Rajesh, Past President ⚡Mr. K Mallikharjuna Rao and members of the⚡ executive committee held a meeting with ⭐Mr. Mamed Akhmedov⭐. He was part of the Russian delegation who had travelled to Visakhapatnam for the CII Partnership Summit 2025. During the interaction several important points were discussed. Members proposed that the ⭐Russian Export Center (REC)⭐ could organize a meeting or seminar in Visakhapatnam, on a mutually convenient date, to explain export–import opportunities with Russia, noting that VCCI has the capacity to mobilize members for such an event. Members also requested support for arranging a business delegation visit to Russia in 2026, which received a positive response from Mr. Mamed. He immediately invited all VCCI members to participate in Made in Russia Expo scheduled to be hosted in Moscow in October 2026. Our senior members' acumen and hospitality impressed Mr. Mamed, which led him to willing extend cooperation for fostering ties between VCCI and his office.🔥

⚡Shri Amardip Mishra, Regional Provident Fund Commissioner-I, EPFO, Visakhapatnam, ⚡highlighted the critical importance of E-Nomination in ensuring seamless access to EPF benefits for employees and their families. He provided a detailed explanation of the 🔥Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rojgar Yojana (PMVBRY),🔥 outlining the significant advantages it offers to both employers and employees, including support for employment generation and financial incentives for establishments.

He urged business associations to actively disseminate information about the scheme among their members and encourage registration to avail the benefits. Shri Mishra also extended his appreciation to ⚡The Vizagapatam Chamber of Commerce & Industry (VCCI) ⚡for organizing the event efficiently within a short timeframe and contributing to its success.

Our Executive Member, ⚡Mr. Bhanoji Venkat Garu, delivered the keynote address and played an active role in the proceedings, engaging in meaningful discussions with the Commissioner throughout the session. 💥The Vizagapatam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI)💥 successfully organized an insightful session titled ⚡"Navigating GST 2.0 – Changes, Challenges⚡, and the Way Forward" on 26th September 2025 at the VCCI Conference Hall. The event witnessed active participation from over 60 members representing a wide cross-section of the industry, including manufacturing, trading, services, and exports.

⚡The keynote address and vote of thanks were delivered by ⭐Mr. P. Rajesh, Secretary, VCC⭐I, who emphasized the transformative potential of GST 2.0 in reshaping India’s indirect tax landscape. He highlighted key concerns such as compliance burdens, digital infrastructure readiness, and increased supply chain accountability.

Two distinguished experts were invited to share their insights.⭐ CA Ashish, a seasoned GST specialist, provided a detailed overview of the technical changes introduced under GST 2.0. His presentation covered automation in input tax credit (ITC), real-time invoice matching, and the increasing role of AI and data analytics in audit mechanisms. ⭐CA Anil Bezawada, a GST expert and advocate with experience across multiple courts, focused on real-world challenges faced by businesses. He addressed issues such as system preparedness, reconciliation difficulties, and litigation risks during the transition phase.⚡

⚡An engaging interactive session followed, where participants posed thoughtful questions and discussed practical challenges in implementing GST 2.0. The dialogue covered key concerns such as technological adaptation for MSMEs, clarity in compliance protocols, and the need for regular training.

⚡Climate Collective Foundation (CCF)⚡ have launched the ‘Data and AI for Climate Programs.’ As a supporting partner, we had the privilege of presenting the activities of VCCI overview and expressed our gratitude to CCF for launching this program in Vizag.

This program marks a bold and much-needed step in harnessing the power of data and artificial intelligence to tackle the challenges of climate change across sectors like agriculture, energy, urban development and water management.

The ⭐Founder & CEO of CCF, Mr. Pratap Raju⭐, shared insights into the courses and capacity-building tools being launched under this initiative. The workshop focused on the theme: “Sectoral Pathways to ESG: Strengthening MSME Competitiveness through Responsible Business.”

⭐Shri Kondapalli Srinivas Garu, Hon’ble Minister for MSMEs & SERP, Government of Andhra Pradesh,⭐ graced the workshop. ⚡Shri Thammireddy Sivasankara Rao Garu, Hon’ble Chairman, APMSMEDC, along with senior government officials, also participated in the event.

Prior to the workshop, Hon’ble Minister Shri K. Srinivas Garu had a brief interaction with the dignitaries, during which the ⚡President Shri M Sudarsan Swamy and ⚡Shri Bhanoji Venkat, Executive Member, were present.

The workshop commenced with a welcome address by VCCI President Mr. Sudarsan Swamy, who set the tone for the day’s deliberations.

⚡INTERACTIVE MEETING WITH HON’BLE FINANCE MINISTER Smt. NIRMALA SITHARAMAN GARU⚡
📍 HELD AT VIZAG CONVENTION CENTER

⭐An interactive meeting with 💥Hon’ble Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman Garu💥 was held at the Vizag Convention Center, where she shared key achievements of the government and insights into ongoing reforms. Highlighting the recently announced GST 2.0 reforms as a “Diwali gift to the common man” from Hon’ble Prime Minister Sri Narendra Modi Garu, she stated that these measures are designed to provide direct benefits to citizens and stimulate economic growth. She noted that under the Gareeb Kalyan scheme, 25 crore people have been uplifted from below the poverty line to the middle class. Additionally, GST on essential goods and health services has been reduced to 5% or even 0%, ensuring greater affordability. These reforms are expected to leave around ₹2 lakh crore in the hands of the public, driving spending and boosting other sectors of the economy.⭐

During the Q&A session, 💥Shri Sudarsan Swamy, President of VCCI,💥 requested the Hon’ble Minister to expedite the establishment of GST Tribunals. He emphasized that this would help reduce the burden on the judiciary and facilitate faster resolution of GST-related disputes.

⚡VCCI hosted an interactive session with ⭐Mr. Widya Parsaoran Gultom, Consul (Socio-Cultural) at the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia, Mumbai.⭐The meeting focused on fostering cultural and business collaborations between India and Indonesia.⚡

During the session, VCCI President ⭐Mr. M Sudarsan Swamy ⭐and the Consul discussed the cultural similarities between the two countries and explored opportunities for joint business activities. 💥SUMMARY OF THE SESSION ON OPPORTUNITIES FOR INVESTMENT IN DEFENCE AND AEROSPACE💥

⚡VCCI, AP Chamber, and FAPCCI jointly organized a session on Opportunities for Investment in Defence and Aerospace. The session began with opening remarks by VCCI Secretary⚡ Mr. P. Rajesh, followed by a presentation by Mr. Nidhin Dominic.⚡

⭐Mr. Nidhin highlighted various government schemes such as IDEX and development funds, with a focus on non-conventional sectors like semiconductors, drones, rare metals, and more. He also elaborated on government initiatives and DRDO’s support for companies entering the defence and aerospace ecosystem.

⭐Mr. Srinivas Raju Chairman SIDM, Andhra Pradesh, spoke about the proactive steps taken by the State Government, including the formation of a core team comprising members from ISRO and the defence sector to establish defence clusters in four key areas of the state. He emphasized the advantage of having a dedicated SIDM state chapter in Andhra Pradesh to facilitate integration into this ecosystem.
