We believe in teaching people to be self sufficient and in giving them tools with which they can create for themselves a brighter future. Here in India—along with many other parts of the world—English is becoming a more and more valuable tool for success in the work field. Through field research we have seen that, although the public school system here is making an increased effort to involve Engl
ish in their schools, the quality of English being taught is not enough to adequately prepare the students for the workforce that is desperately calling for "fluent English speakers." In our curriculum we heavily involve life skills such as punctuality, professionalism, and many other skills that we believe will give our students a competitive edge in the work field. We have also created relationships and continue creating relationships daily with companies and other organizations in need of fluent English speakers. In the future, we hope to offer our students additional support in finding employment upon graduation. We will work with impoverished teenage and college-aged students, giving them an opportunity to break the cycle of poverty in their families and community.
