Yi Visakhapatnam extends best wishes to our chapter co-chair, Ms. Sai Supriya Lingam, as she embarks on her Leadership Academy (LA) journey at Lucknow!

ROAD SAFETY X THALIR
We have conducted a road safety awareness session in collaboration with Visakhapatnam City Security Counsil for 7th to 9th grade students of Shiv Shivani school, Visakhapatnam.

The sessions were very interactive, and the chotacop badges were distributed to the students. Thank you, Mrs.Seema Sikri, Associate Director, VCSC & Mr.C.Bala Satish , Joint Secretary, Road Safety forum, VCSC, for taking the sessions.

Mrs Seema has also taken session on anti narcotics and cyber security

E-Waste Collection Drive & Industry Visit

Date: 15th July

Team Climate Change of Yi Vizag organized an E-Waste Collection Drive and an industry visit to *Eyantram Waste Management Pvt. Ltd* to understand the process of scientific e-waste recycling.

The team learned how e-waste is dismantled to recover valuable materials such as copper, aluminium, gold, silver, platinum, and palladium, including the recycling process of a motherboard. Eyantram follows a *zero-waste* approach, ensuring every component is recycled, refurbished, or reused. Even the furniture at the facility is made from recycled materials. The plant uses advanced machinery sourced and custom-built to meet its requirements, supported by a six-member technology team and in compliance with the Legal Metrology Department.

Operating in the Green Zone unlike other E-waste management industries, Eyantram has an annual recycling capacity of 21,000 metric tonnes, serving Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu.

As part of the initiative, Yi Vizag contributed *112 kg* of e-waste for responsible recycling. The visit also laid the foundation for a future mega e-waste collection drive in Visakhapatnam, strengthening Yi Vizag’s commitment to sustainable waste management and the circular economy.
