Implementations for 3 Masoom Model Schools | Yi Vizag

We are pleased to announce that Yi Vizag Masoom has successfully completed implementation of the Masoom program across three model schools during the current year:

Masoom Model School 1: Olivet School

Masoom Model School 2: Sunflower Silver Convent School

Masoom Model School 3: Delhi Public School, Lawson’s Bay

All seven prescribed steps of the Masoom model school program were executed meticulously across each of these schools, ensuring a comprehensive and impactful implementation.

We extend our sincere gratitude to all stakeholders, volunteers, and participating schools for their continued support in making this initiative a success.

Yi Vizag - Health x Thalir | Nutrition Awareness Sessions | Green City School

From October 7th to 9th, nutrition awareness sessions were conducted for students of classes 7, 8, and 9 at Green City School. The sessions covered topics such as balanced diet education, self-plating, and an overview of nutrition and common nutrient deficiencies.

On October 11th (Saturday), the program concluded with a Parent-Teacher Meeting, mainly focused on child health and nutrition.the main causes of nutrient deficiencies and other diseases in children, as well as food adulteration and nutrients absorption.

CII-Young Indians (Yi) Vizag had the privilege of meeting Ms. Silai Zaki, Australia’s Consul-General in Chennai.

Ms. Zaki — a senior diplomat with the Australian Government’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) — leads Australia’s strategic, trade, and investment engagement across Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and the Union Territories of Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep, and Puducherry.

The discussion centered on strengthening bilateral collaboration, innovation, sustainability, and youth-driven entrepreneurship between Australia and India’s southern states.

CII Andhra Pradesh State Chair Mr. Murali Krishna Gannamani, CII Visakhapatnam Vice-Chairman, Mr. Krishna Mohan Gadiparthi, Yi Vizag Chair Dr. Sravani Sandhya and Co-Chair Ms. Deepa Kodali shared CII-Yi’s initiatives in climate action, health, accessibility, and rural innovation, emphasizing opportunities for joint programs with Australian institutions and businesses.

Hon’ble Minister for Information Technology, Electronics, and Communications, Shri Nara Lokesh garu was invited to Enterprising Bharat 2025 organised by Grameena Incubation Centre (GIC), Bhagavatula Charitable Trust (BCT) & CII Young Indians during the inauguration of Sify’s AI Edge Data Centre and Cable Landing Station in Vizag.

CII Andhra Pradesh State Chair Shri. Murali Krishna Gannamani, Yi Vizag Chair Dr. Sravani Bellam, and Co-Chair Ms. Deepa Kodali shared Yi’s initiatives with the Hon'ble Minister.

Cii-Yi Visakhapatnam was delighted to be part of a session on Women Safety & Empowerment with Hon’ble Minister of State for Home Affairs & Disaster Management, Mrs. Anita Vangalapudi hosted by FICCI FLO.

During the interaction, our Chapter Chair, Dr. Sravani Sandhya presented a proposal requesting that First Aid and CPR training be made mandatory for all traffic police personnel in Visakhapatnam. This initiative builds on Yi’s earlier collaboration with past Commissioner of Police, Mr. Ravishankar Ayyanar, under whose leadership 500 traffic police were successfully trained in 2024, along with the distribution of 50 first-aid kits sponsored by Harmony Foods.

The Hon’ble Minister was highly appreciative of the initiative and expressed keen interest in taking it forward, assuring us that she would work closely with the Police Commissioner to make it a reality.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Mrs. Rajini Chitra and FICCI FLO for their warm invitation and for creating a platform to advance such meaningful collaborations.

Yuva x Road Safety | CPR Training Session | 23rd September 2025

What an inspiring day! Dr Sravani led a powerful CPR session with 1,000 students, explaining with calm confidence, clarity, and grace. Her insights were on point, and her way of connecting with students made all the difference.

A big shoutout to members Pradeep, Raghav and Dr Smitha for handling the practical training so effectively, and special appreciation to Dr Smitha for also covering theory sessions to ensure every student got the opportunity to learn.

This was one of Yi Yuva’s largest CPR sessions ever — training 1,000 students in a single day.

We are grateful to the students of AITAM, Teklali, especially the freshers, for their enthusiasm and eagerness to learn this life-saving skill.

Yi sessions are about building skills, saving lives, and creating real impact.
Here’s to many more such meaningful initiatives!
