recently hosted an Incubators Round Table in partnership with the Wadhwani Foundation at , APIS . We had an insightful discussion on the unique needs of incubators in Visakhapatnam and , with the goal of fostering a sustainable and dynamic incubator ecosystem.

Distinguished mentors Ankit Machhar and Dr. Deepak Motwani from the shared their valuable perspectives on effective startup ecosystem models and provided a comprehensive overview of their accelerator programs across India. Their innovative platform was showcased, highlighting how it equips incubators with essential resources and tools to evaluate the viability of ideas, empowering them to better support startups from conception to market success. CEO Anil Tentu (Ph.D) briefed the initiatives of Andhra Pradesh Innovation Society

The Wadhwani Foundation team’s forward-thinking approach has sparked strong interest among incubators, leading to plans for capacity-building workshops to ensure continuous growth and development for the incubator community.

DeeptechNaipunya Foundation has expressed interest to collaborate with Wadhwani Foundation to help the ecosystem and keen in organizing Master Classes for HNIs in the region and focusing on use case-driven innovation.

This round table was attended by key stakeholders from the & , including STPI - Software Technology Parks of India Addl Director Suresh Batha, IIM Visakhapatnam CEO Guhesh Ramanathan, a-hub Ravi Eswarapu, team from GITAM Deemed University Vikas Srivastav and Dr.Ravi Shankar Saripalle, Pooja Vidyashankar , Head of Nasscom CoE Vizag, Jagadish Babu Korla , an investor and our Sreedhar Kosaraju, along with many other key players.

Glad to be part of the brainstorming session on the new National , organized by the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology ( ) in . I am privileged to represent the IT industry of Andhra Pradesh and to share our perspectives.

In the limited time, I shared my views on three key areas:
1. Startups & Innovation,
2. Talent Development, and
3. Policy.

While appreciating the initiatives of MeitY, the Government of India should direct PSUs and other government organizations to implement startup policies within their entities to encourage startups. Currently, only a few PSUs, like hashtag , have their own startup policies.

MeitY is doing an excellent job with various schemes, Centers of Excellence ( ) in different technology sectors, and 12 locations to develop the startup ecosystem. It's time to identify potential tier II cities as startup hubs with domain specializations, such as establishing as a for and Industry 4.0.

While MeitY has numerous initiatives like and to develop talent, it's essential to expand the courses covered to meet industry requirements in emerging technologies.

While appreciating the Government of India's funding to IITs for R&D, there should also be independent R&D centers outside of IITs and NITs, accommodating industry and other universities that have strong innovation facilities and frameworks.

It's time to introduce a policy similar to , exclusively for product development companies in tier II and III cities.
With 50% of the world's located in India and more expected to come, primarily to tier II locations, we should offer new incentives and policies to encourage GCCs to set up in these areas.

Our Chairman, Sreedhar Kosaraju, recently had a brief yet fruitful meeting with Shri Nara Lokesh garu, Hon'ble Minister for IT, Electronics, HRD & RTG along with his industry colleagues Anand Krishnan PhD RL Narayana Rama Krishna Dasari Narendra Kumar Saranam. Despite meeting after a long time, the HMIT Lokesh garu greeted everyone, showcasing his remarkable memory and welcoming demeanor.

Although the meeting was short, it was a productive discussion focused on the key concerns of the IT industry. , currently occupied with reviewing his portfolios, expressed his eagerness to have an interactive session with industry leaders once he completes the detailed review with his department officials.

HMIT is keen to meet ITAssociation Of AP leaders formally to understand the concerns of the IT Industry in AP.

DeepTech Naipunya Foundation is honored to collaborate with Andhra Pradesh MedTech Zone Limited on the upcoming Vizag Science & Technology Cluster ( ) located on the campus. We extend our gratitude to Dr. Jitendra Sharma for involving us in this remarkable initiative.

The Science & Technology (S&T) Clusters are established to enhance synergy among S&T organizations, supported by the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser (O/o PSA) and the Prime Minister’s Science, Technology, and Innovation Advisory Council (PM-STIAC). These clusters unite science providers, including academic institutions and R&D labs, to deliver solutions for end-users such as industry and government. They also forge strong linkages between academic institutions, research labs, , industry partners, , , state governments, philanthropic foundations, and international organizations.

We have a total of seven clusters so far in India, and now the Office of is planning to set up the eighth S&T cluster in Visakhapatnam within the AMTZ campus. This new cluster will focus on thematic areas such as Industry 4.0, New Materials for Hi-Tech Medical Segments, and E-Waste Management.

We had the privilege of participating in the Introduction Meeting for the VSTC held at AMTZ. This event, graced by esteemed members
Dr.Vishal Choudhary and Vivek Kumar from the Principal Scientific Advisor's office and industry stakeholders like Visakha Pharma city Ltd, IIMV FIELD, Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital & Research Centre ( ), GITAM Deemed University Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam etc., marks a significant milestone in our journey towards fostering innovation and technological advancement.

Our chairman, Sreedhar Kosaraju, represented DeepTech Naipunya Foundation at this prestigious event. We believe that VSTC will serve as a powerful catalyst for collaboration and growth, bringing together industry leaders, researchers, and innovators to create a thriving ecosystem.
