The team rescues the plants to nurse them & re-plant it in a new place ( in rainy season).Native plants species got immense advantages over the 'outside' plants because they support the local flora and fauna. They provide diverse habitats and food sources, unlike exotic species. It is not as if we are against planting non

-native varieties. However, they do not really support local wildlife. Exotic trees are invasive and disturbs the ecological balance. They do not associate with local fauna and the eco-system. Besides they do not support birds,friendly insects or honey bees. For example, birds do not nest in gulmohar trees. Also, honey bees do not visit eucalyptus trees.
