Building Community Champions for a Cleaner Tomorrow 🌿♻️
As part of the Stainless Swachhata Abhiyan (SSA), a two-day capacity-building programme was organized for members of Self-Help Groups (SHGs), strengthening their role as key drivers of sustainable waste management and community-led sanitation.
The programme was inaugurated by the Block Development Officer (BDO), who encouraged participants to become ambassadors of cleanliness and inspired collective action towards healthier, cleaner villages. Representatives from Jindal Stainless and Green Dream Foundation welcomed the participants and highlighted the vision and objectives of the Stainless Swachhata Abhiyan. The presence of the Sarpanch of Trijanga Gram Panchayat and the Block Resource Coordinator further reinforced the importance of collaborative action in creating lasting environmental impact.
The sessions featured practical insights from the Sanitation Consultant on waste segregation, sanitation, and sustainable waste management practices. Adding a valuable peer-learning perspective, members of the Solei SHG shared their on-ground experiences, success stories, and the positive transformation witnessed in their villages through active community participation.
More than just a training programme, the initiative empowered SHG members with the knowledge, confidence, and leadership needed to champion behavioural change and strengthen the implementation of this impact CSR program across their villages.
