📢 *AP JUNIOR DOCTORS’ STRIKE — UNDERSTANDING THE ISSUE*

The ongoing agitation by the *Andhra Pradesh Junior Doctors’ Association (APJUDA)* has brought several issues concerning resident doctors, medical education and working conditions into focus.

As an independent medico organisation, *NMO Andhra Pradesh* presents this carousel to help medicos and the wider public understand the issues raised in APJUDA’s formal strike notice.

🔹 *30% stipend revision* effective from 01 January 2026
🔹 *Adherence to NMC regulations* in recruitment of non-medical faculty
🔹 *Opposition to enhancement of retirement age* from 62 to 65 years
🔹 Concerns regarding *inflation, economic indicators and comparison with neighbouring states*
🔹 *Increasing workload* and changes in OPD duties
🔹 Rising costs of *books, journals and academic subscriptions*
🔹 A *phased withdrawal of routine OPD services* as outlined in the strike notice
🔹 Continued provision of *emergency and critical-care services*, as stated by APJUDA

NMO Kadapa Unit – Medical Camp

SRAVANA KUMARA STHANEYA SEVA YATRA

On 2nd August 2026, the National Medicos Organisation (NMO), Kadapa Unit conducted a medical screening camp at Brundha Spoorthi Old Age Home.

The camp included:

* Blood Pressure (Hypertension) screening
* Fasting Blood Sugar (FBS)
* Postprandial Blood Sugar (PPBS)
* General health check-up

A total of 29 elderly residents were screened. Medical advice and appropriate treatment were provided, and patients requiring further evaluation and specialized care were referred to RIMS Hospital, Kadapa.

Participation:

* 👨‍⚕️ Doctors attended: 1
* 🩺 MBBS Interns attended: 1
* 🎓 Medical Students attended: 4

The camp focused on the early detection of hypertension and diabetes while providing comprehensive healthcare services to the elderly. Beyond medical care, we spent valuable time interacting with the residents, listening to their concerns, and offering compassionate support. Their blessings and smiles made the service truly fulfilling.
