Since 1967, Parishad has been organising National Group Song Competition of patriotic songs among school children at branch, state and national level. At branch level about 50,000 students from over 4,000 schools take part in Hind
i and Sanskrit songs competition all over the country every year. In the programmes organised at all India level, we had the privilege of having Presidents like Dr. Zakir Hussain, Gyani Zail Singh and Shri Neelam Sanjeeva Reddy to preside over the functions. SEWA - SERVICE PROGRAMME
Bharat Vikas Parishad is running over 1,250 permanent projects, whose activities are conducted on daily or weekly basis. These projects include Hospitals, Clinics, Physiotherapy Centres, Mobile Vans, Pathology Labs, Ultrasound Centres, Blood Banks, Educational Institutions, etc. RELIEF
Help in cash and kind was provided in case of earthquake in Latur (1993) and Gujarat (2001), Kargil war (1998), Orissa supercyclon (1999), draught in Rajasthan (2003), Tsunami (2004), floods in Assam (2004, 2007 ), Gujarat (2005) and Bihar and Assam (2008), Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Maharashtra (2009), relief for cloudburst in Jammu & Kashmir (Laddakh) and floods in Uttrakhand (2010). Parishad’s branches hold seminars on contemporary subjects of national interest and welfare of humanity in institutions of higher education to reinforce Bhartiya Sanskriti and Sanskars among the youth. Over 300 seminars are organised annually.
