As part of our Collective Climate Action Programme to build Green Schools under the Haritsala Programme, a two-day (16 & 17 July, 2026) district-level workshop was organized in Samastipur. The workshop aimed to strengthen the connection between children, teachers, and parents with nature while promoting environmental awareness and sustainable practices in schools.

The workshop brought together Master Trainers of Eco Clubs for Mission LiFE and Headmasters from 50 government schools, providing a platform to enhance their knowledge and capacity to implement green school initiatives and climate action activities.

The programme was graced by Mr. Shubham Kasaudhan, District Programme Officer (DPO), Samastipur, as the Chief Guest, who emphasized the importance of environmental education and encouraged schools to adopt sustainable practices for creating a greener and more climate-resilient future.

Turning Women SHGs into Bio-Input Entrepreneurs

Our climate action programme facilitates Women SHGs to transition into Bio-Input Entrepreneurs through capacity building, infrastructure support via BRC kits, and market linkages.

This week, Sarswat SHG of Benipur Village took center stage at the District-level Swadeshi Saras Mela at TFR Varanasi, organised under the National Rural Livelihoods Mission.

Allotted a dedicated stall, SHG showcased its range of Bio-Input products — Jeevamrit, 10-patti ark, Neemastra — made using BRC kit materials. From production to marketing, they managed it all.

This is what sustainable farm-based livelihood looks like: local women, local resources, district-level recognition.

🌍 World Environment Day 2026: A Greener Future Begins with Behaviour Change 🌱

Nature sustains life, yet today we face serious challenges such as climate change, biodiversity loss, and increasing pollution. Addressing these challenges requires more than policies—it calls for conscious daily actions and collective community efforts.

To spread this message, EcoPrism Collective Foundation organized a comprehensive awareness program in Benipur Khurd Panchayat, Varanasi, on the occasion of World Environment Day. Through activities such as a bicycle rally, children's environmental model exhibition, street theatre performances, sapling distribution, and discussions on natural farming, the program inspired community members to take an active role in protecting the environment.

Farmers were introduced to natural farming practices and informed about the benefits of using organic fertilizers and bio-pesticides. The community was encouraged to recognize that environmental conservation is not just a one-day event but an integral part of our lifestyle and responsibility.

EcoPrism Collective Foundation believes that a healthy, prosperous, and sustainable future can only be achieved when communities, farmers, youth, and women work together to restore balance with nature.

This World Environment Day, let us pledge to make small positive changes in our behaviour and contribute towards a better world for nature and future generations. 💚🌿

Promoting Climate-Resilient Agriculture for Sustainable Livelihoods - As part of its Climate Action Programme on Climate-Resilient Agriculture, EcoPrism Collective is actively demonstrating natural farming practices with the participation of farmers in Benipur, Varanasi.

Following the successful cultivation of a Wheat Demonstration Plot, Paddy seeds have now been distributed to farmers for the establishment of Paddy Demonstration Plots. These field demonstrations provide farmers with practical, hands-on experience in adopting natural farming methods and understanding its benefits.

The initiative promotes chemical-free agriculture, reduce cultivation costs, improve soil health, enhance farm productivity, and protect the environment and local ecosystem. By encouraging sustainable and climate-resilient farming practices, EcoPrism Collective is helping farmers move towards healthier soils, healthier lives, and a greener future for all.

Empowering Women for Sustainable Agriculture - To promote natural farming practices in Varanasi, women’s groups are being trained as EcoSakhis to take on a leadership role in the production of bio-inputs, including bio-fertilizers, bio-pesticides, and bio-stimulants.

Through the establishment of a Bio-Resource Center, these women are creating a sustainable livelihood opportunity while ensuring a reliable supply of eco-friendly agricultural inputs to local farmers. The initiative aims to reduce dependence on chemical fertilizers and pesticides, lower cultivation costs, and promote climate-resilient farming practices.

By strengthening the role of women in agriculture and encouraging environmentally responsible farming, EcoSakhis are helping build healthier farms, stronger communities, and a greener future.

🌱 Empowering Women | Nurturing Nature 🌱

As part of its Climate Action Programme, Ecoprism Collective is actively engaging with women partners in Benipur Gram Panchayat to promote green livelihoods through natural vegetable farming. This initiative is aligned with the growing demand for chemical-free, nutritious produce among health-conscious consumers in Varanasi.

Women’s groups in the village are organized under the Poshan Vatika Programme, which supports them in cultivating vegetables using natural farming practices. Under this programme, Ecoprism Collective provides comprehensive support including capacity-building training and essential resource inputs such as certified vegetable seeds and bio-inputs (including bio-fertilizers, bio-stimulants, and bio-pesticides). This approach not only enhances household nutrition but also creates sustainable income opportunities for rural women while promoting environmentally responsible agriculture.
