Shree Ayyappa Temple, Valsad, Gujarat Started as an Ayyappa Bhajana Sagham by a group of devotees staying in and around Valsad, about three decades ago. Later, it was registered as a public Trust.

Now, it has about a hundred life members and the Trust is managed by an Executive Committee comprising fifteen members, elected normally for a period of three years. Thanthry, Brahmashree Kantaru Rajeevaru, the traditional Chief Priest of Sabarimala Temple, Kerala laid the foundation stone for this temple on 28-08-2003 and the temple was consecrated by him on 09-03-2008 by performing 'Prana Pratis

hta of all the deities. Its sactum sactorum is totally carved out of 'Krishna Shila', a kind of rock found in Kerala, specifically used for this purpose and in totality followed the 'DRAVIDA VASTU' in construction. The Architect of the temple was Shri Sadashiva Achari of Neelakanta Idol Works, Mundancav, Chengannur and the Construction of the temple under his guidance was undertaken by M/s Syrya Constructions, Valsad, onwed by Shri NM Raveendran Nair, Kottayam. The exquisite art work of its Valiyabalikkalpura in teak wood and the Mural Art works, depicting the life story of Shree Ayyappa on its Chuttambalam walls make this temple unique in the eyes local people. In addition to Lord shri Ayyappa, this temple has Devi, Lord Shiva and Lord Ganesha as updevas.
