In March 2026, Green the Blue Charitable Trust reached out to women, children, and farmers across Gujarat through meaningful community initiatives 🌱

👩‍🌾 50+ women in Vataman were supported to strengthen their Self-Help Groups and explore practical livelihood ideas.
🎉 400 children from 20 villages participated in a vibrant Children’s Mela at Mithli, filled with games and creative activities.
🎨 40 girls experienced the beauty of Warli art through a hands-on workshop, expressing their creativity through paintings.
🌾 80 farmers under Adivasi Kheti Yojana were trained in planting summer vegetables and soil testing techniques. We distributed seeds to all the farmers.

Together, we continue to inspire creativity, strengthen communities, and promote sustainable livelihoods 💚

Green the Blue (GBT) has been training and mentoring the team of Adivasi Kheti Yojana (AKY) to strengthen sustainable farming initiatives in Bhiloda. With GBT’s guidance, AKY has successfully enabled 80 tribal farmers to set up organic kitchen gardens and vermi-compost units. Through structured training, hands-on demonstrations, and continuous field support, farmers are adopting natural farming practices, improving soil health, and enhancing household nutrition. This collaboration is building local capacity and promoting long-term sustainable livelihoods. 🌱

Adivasi Kheti Yojana, Bhiloda supports 80 small farmers in Aravalli district to set up an organic vegetable kitchen garden. Green the blue charitable trust is training the farmers in organic farming. Farmers are very happy with the immense positive impact it has created in their lives.

The SOIL Workshop (Search, Observe, Investigate & Learn) is a new initiative from GBT. The inaugural edition was launched on the 23rd of November 2025 at CCD, Sevasi. Green the Blue Charitable Trust, in collaboration with Pochabhai Foundation, distributed 300 shelter kits in Rinza, Chitharwada, and Galiyana villages of Tarapura Taluka, Anand District. The kits were provided to families living along the Sabarmati river and affected during the recent flood.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Donatekart and Amazon for their generous support. During the distribution, we also learned a valuable lesson from Himatbhai, who gently yet firmly communicated the message of equality and justice while serving members from different communities.

🌿 Eco Workshop at Jagruti High School 🌿

On 17th Sept 2025, Jagruti High School hosted a one-day Environment Awareness Workshop for Std. 9 students. Led by Mr. Jothi & Mrs. Archana Xavier with support from Ms. Monika Gamit and Mr. Nikunj Makwana, 225 students explored ecological concepts through sessions, science experiments, tree plantation, waste management, art & paper bag making.

The day blended learning with hands-on activities, ending with group presentations. The initiative also marked the launch of the school’s Eco Club, ensuring continued action for a greener future. 🌱✨

Green the Blue Charitable Trust under the initiative of Greening the Red, distributed 80 Mango Saplings to 40 needy farmers on 24th of August 2025. GBT thanks Mr Rashmikant Patel for his generous contribution. The Mango trees will not only be means of livelihood to the poor farmers but also help mitigate climate change.

Orientation Program Report – St. Xavier’s School, Dadhwada & Vrudavan Ashramshala, Katkuva

Orientation Programs were conducted at St. Xavier’s School, Dadhwada (28th June 2025) for Classes 8–10 and at Vrudavan Ashramshala, Katkuva (29th June 2025) for Classes 8–12 by Mr. Jothi Xavier and Ms. Archana Xavier.

The workshops covered Motivation, Goal Setting, Career Guidance, and Study Techniques, beginning with introductory games that helped students connect with themselves and their peers, fostering an open and friendly environment. Interactive methods such as PowerPoint presentations, short films, group discussions, and team-building games kept participants engaged and encouraged self-reflection and future planning.

Teachers at Katkuva also joined the activities, contributing valuable insights and supporting the sessions. Students from both schools participated actively, reporting increased confidence, focus, and clarity about their goals.

Principals and staff appreciated the content and delivery, noting that the programs provided a positive and motivating start to the academic year.

Inspired by Pope Francis’ groundbreaking encyclical Laudato Si, which urges humanity to care for our common home, Green the Blue Charitable Trust has been spreading this vital message through creative and engaging initiatives.

From interactive sessions with children to awareness programs for youth and women, the Trust has brought environmental consciousness to life through action and art. 🌱💧🌿

As we reflect on Pope Francis’ extraordinary life and the transformative work he has done as the Pope, the best tribute we can offer is to continue spreading his message of ecological justice and compassion.
