The `Upasana Charitable Trust’ has been formed by the alumni of Sir `Sayajirao Diamond Jubilee Boys Hostel’, where the alumni had stayed during the period from 1968 to 1990.While cherishing the reminiscences of their stay in the hostel at Vadodara, where all the facilities including stay, food, college fees, books and even clothes were provided free of charge, the alumni evoked some serious thoug

• Do we ever think of people whose talent just go buried because of not getting an opportunity? Life’s most persistent question is, “What are we doing for others?”. We the alumni, attribute the credit of our progress and success in our life to our stay in Diamond Jubilee Hostel, where our character was shaped along with our educational career. Upasana Charitable Trust, in its sincere endeavor to reciprocate and repay what it owes to its alma-mater and fulfilling its duty towards society, decided to construct one hostel building which would be working on the same values of “Character Development” along with providing basic needs to the under-privileged bright students. We are committed to develop this hostel, not only as a simple boarding house, but as a “Character Building Center” as well, where eminent persons from the society would pay visits from time to time and interact with students to inculcate moral and ethical values in their minds. The M S University Provided us land for the Hostel in Polytechnic Campus, along with two unused residential buildings for staff members and students. The Financial aid came from alumni of Diamond Jubilee Hostel and well wishers as well. The Hostel with capacity of 40 students, has become operational from academic year 2008-09. We are committed to lay firm foundation of character in them. About 120+ Students have passed out from this hostel till 2022 and are very well placed in well-known Industrial Corporations and Government Offices. Our objective is to create, nurture and enhance “TEAM DIAMOND”, a team of people with strong and noble character who can carry forward the initiative, the alumni has taken up. With our solid belief “Jyot Se Jyot Jale’ & “Tera Tuzko Arpan”, we are determined to spread this message to the society.
