વિશ્વભરમાં વપરાતો શબ્દ MOTHER મૂળ ગુજરાતી, હિન્દી, સંસ્કૃત હોવાના અર્થઘટન ને માટે વડનગરના વડોદરાનીવાસી ગુજરાતી તબીબને મળ્યો કોપીરાઇટ !

હાલમાંજ એક ગુજરાતી શબ્દ"મધર" ને કોપી રાઈટ મળ્યો છે અને મારું એવું માનવું છે કે ભલે દુનિયા આખી MOTHER શબ્દ અંગ્રેજીમાં વાપરતી હોય પરંતુ તે સંબંધ વાચક ખરો પણ તેનો અંગ્રેજીમાં કોઈ અર્થ નથી થતો.
જ્યારે એ જ શબ્દ 'મધર' એકદમ અર્થસભર છે અને ગુજરાતીમાં વપરાવો જોઈએ, ભલે ગુજરાતીઓ એ રીતે વાપરવા ટેવાયેલા નથી.
જેમ ગદા ધરે તે ગદાધર અને બંસી ધરે તે બંસીધર તથા પર્વત ને ધરે તે ગિરિધર અને ભગવાન શંકર જે ગંગા ને ધરે તે ગંગાધર કહેવાય એ જ રીતે "મને" ઘરે તે મધર અને જેણે મને ધર્યો નથી તે બધા "અ ધર!"
આ અર્થઘટન માટે ભારતની કોપીરાઇટ ઓફિસ દિલ્હી માંથી ડો ચૈતન્ય સરતકુમાર બુચનો કોપીરાઇટ રજીસ્ટર થયો છે અને એટલે જ ગરવા ગુજરાતી તરીકે સર્વપ્રથમ બધા ગ્લોબલ ગરવા ગુજરાતી ને જણાવતા આનંદ અને ગર્વની લાગણી અનુભવાય છે.
હજારો વર્ષથી ગુજરાતી નો ઉપયોગ થતો હોવા છતાં ' મધર ' શબ્દપ્રયોગ માતા માટે કરવામાં આવતો નથી અને તેનો ભગવદ્ગ ગોમંડળ ગુજરાતી શબ્દકોશમાં 180,000+ શબ્દોમાં પણ ઉલ્લેખ નથી.
ગુજરાતી ભાષાના શિક્ષકો,લેખકો, કવિઓ અને સાહિત્યકારો તથા પંડિતો અને પીએચડી વિદ્વાનોએ પણ ગુજરાતીમાં ' મધર ' શબ્દ વાપર્યો હોવાનો પુરાવો મળતો નથી.

મને ખાતરી છે કે MOTHER કરતાં મધર વધારે અર્થસભર અને ઉપયોગી છે અને વૈશ્વિક ગુજરાતીઓએ આ પ્રયોગ અપનાવવાનો અને દુનિયાભરને આપવાનો સમય આવી ચૂક્યો છે. જો એક ગુજરાતી તરીકે આપને પસંદ પડે તો વાપરવાનું અને બીજા ગુજરાતીઓને આપણા અને આપના દેશમાં જણાવવાનું શરૂ કરશો એવી આપને હૃદયપૂર્વક વિનંતી.
