Sakhi Project Sakhi Project by Vatsalya Foundation was created with an aim to spread mentrual awareness to women.

I am the founder of the 'Sakhi Project' by Vatsalya Foundation. This project focuses on spreading awareness about menstrual hygiene, specifically to rural women. We go to villages in India to educate women about the same and also provide them low cost and biodegradable sanitary napkins. We also help them set up sanitary napkin manufacturing units, in order to provide them employment. This not only

helps them gain financial independence but also gives them sense of achievement. We strive to eradicate diseases and taboo against menstruation. 'Sakhi' has also expanded itself to Menstrual Cup and 'Ashudhinashak' - a device to dispose sanitary pads in a more hygienic and biodegradable way.
