Many people regard the consumption of alcohol for recreational or social purposes as
normal and acceptable, but they are unaware that this, too, carries the danger of deaths, as well as socially unacceptable or Hazardous Behaviour patterns. Alcohol and other substance abuse not only harms the consuming person's body, but it also destroys those around them. Their personal life may suffer negative consequences such as a shattered marital life and family life, unemployment, and social stigma. In 2006, nivarthi trust spread its wings in the name of Nivarthi a centre for de-addiction cm rehabilitation, in response to the need for a treatment centre. More than 1500 patients have been treated and integrated into their lives as a result of our Centre’s efforts throughout the years. The Centre is operated by a professional team led by managing director Mr R. Charuhasan, whose been recovered from addiction and staying sober over 16 years with a service mentality to support others also stay sober and live their lives to the fullest. The vision of Nivarthi is to establish a centre that will provide serenity to the suffering individual and the family, with an atmosphere resembling of a large extended family, where residents will receive comfort, love, and kindness from the family, as well as psychological and social rehabilitation programmes and medical services administered by experts and professionals.
