Charity Description:
Canadians Sharing Locally and Globally is a Canadian volunteer-based humanitarian organization established in 2013. We provide humanitarian services and disaster relief to underserved people by donating trees, medicines and medical equipment, nutrition, educational scholarships and supplies, and supply disaster relief items throughout India and worldwide. Our organization is facilitated entirely by volunteers, and every donation is invested directly and impactfully supporting International Development and Disaster Relief around the world. We work with Indian and Canadian Registered Charities to support our various campaigns and humanitarian efforts. Some of our impactful work is highlighted below:
Support For India:
Our Health Programs in India offer accessibility to advanced medical care and works to relieve the effects of poverty by donating medicines, vitamins and medical equipment. We support local charitable hospitals through our donations as well as free medical outreach in disadvantaged communities. Our Nutrition Programs in India improve health and help relieve the effects of poverty through food donations. We also support the existing programs of several Registered Indian Charities that support basic nutrition for the local population. Our Community Medical Programs offer medical supplies and health care to over 400 rural villages throughout the Vellore District of Tamil Nadu that have little access to health services. Our Education Programs in India support education through donations of student scholarships and educational equipment to local schools, colleges and institutes. We donate educational materials such as books, periodicals, smart boards, computers, lab equipment and other teaching aids. We donate educational scholarships to deserving and underserved students. Afghanistan Humanitarian Crisis Appeal:
Our International Emergency Disaster Relief Programs provide donations to registered charities that includes distribution of food, water, medicines, shelter, and basic survival needs during times of disaster. Our current focus is on humanitarian support to Afghanistan through our Afghanistan Humanitarian Crisis Appeal. Afghanistan is reeling from a complex humanitarian crisis resulting from conflict, drought, food insecurity, displacement, and gaps in health services. The recent escalation in the conflict and its outcomes has created additional stress and unpredictability for the people of Afghanistan, rapidly increasing the number of people fleeing their homes against the backdrop of the ongoing pandemic. Our Afghanistan Crisis Appeal supports those impacted by multiple humanitarian crisis in the region. Your gift will enable our partners in Afghanistan and around the region to provide support to people hit hard by multiple humanitarian crises. Your gift supports health care and relief supplies for individuals and families, displaced populations, and people experiencing food insecurity. Your gift will also be used for immediate and ongoing relief efforts, long-term recovery, resiliency, and preparedness for future events in and around impacted regions. Your gift to our Afghanistan Humanitarian Crisis Appeal will also support consequential events related to the current multiple crisis.
