The People's Helpdesk is a concept for a public installation that's part meeting point, part community message board. Equipped with a simple, easy-to-use SMS-based interface, it lets anyone post a request for help or advice. The project also uses an SMS alert system to facilitate meet-ups between those who need help and those who have help or advice to give. It's inspired by the notion that all of

us have something unique to offer others due to our varied life experiences, whether it's how to write a novel or just how to wake up in the mornings. This project simply provides the context for us to talk to one another.
