A special medical camp was organized for the tribal communities living in the hill villages of Kulipatti and Kurumalai in the Udumalpet region of Tiruppur district. The camp was jointly conducted by the Department of Post-Graduate Social Work of Sri Saraswathi Thyagaraja College, Pollachi, and Ennam Pol Vazhkai Foundation, with the support of the Government Primary Health Centre at Erisanampatti. Hundreds of tribal residents participated in the camp and received medical services including general medicine, Siddha treatment, dental care, and eye examinations. The medical team included Dr. T. Sukumaran (MMU Medical Officer) and Dr. T. Sri Varsha (RBSK Medical Officer) from the Government PHC, Siddha physician Dr. B. Karvendhan from the Tribal Mobile Unit, Block Ophthalmic Assistant R. Selvam, and dental specialist Dr. A. M. Arunapriya. The camp was organized under the leadership of Mr. Selvam, Vice President of Thali Panchayat, and Mr. S. A. I. Nelson, Founder of the Ennam Pol Vazhkai Foundation, with the support of the faculty members of the Post-Graduate Social Work Department of Sri Saraswathi Thyagaraja College. The initiative greatly benefited the tribal residents of these remote hill areas, where transport and access to medical facilities are limited.
