The HAIF Successfully Conducted Free Eye Care Medical Camp at Bhairabkunda.

Today, The Help Aid India Foundation (HAIF) successfully organised a Free Eye Care Medical Camp at Bhairabkunda town, extending essential vision care services to 78 individuals from the community.

The medical team provided free check-ups and consultations, addressing various vision-related concerns. During the camp, 13 patients were identified with cataract conditions requiring surgery. We are pleased to share that The HAIF has committed to facilitating free cataract surgeries through SSN Support in the upcoming month of December, including travel and accommodation support for the patients.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Sri Sankaradeva Nethralaya, Guwahati, for their unwavering support, expertise, and collaboration in making this initiative possible.

Together, we move one step closer to a clearer and healthier vision for all.

|| Learning from Nature, Livelihood & Innovation ||

From the serene hills to the structured valleys, Sikkim opened a new dimension of learning for the Help Aid India Foundation (HAIF) team during our exposure visit (30th October – 2nd November 2025).

Supported by Bosco Institute under the YI Node Fellowship Program, and in association with the Azim Premji Foundation, the visit offered valuable insights into sustainable livelihoods, eco-tourism, floriculture, and craft-based entrepreneurship.

What makes Sikkim stand apart is not only its natural beauty but the intentional way it has preserved and presented that beauty as a source of livelihood.
From floriculture and orchid cultivation to community-led tourism and handloom innovation, the state demonstrates how environment and economy can thrive together.

Celebrating Craft, Culture & Community !!

On 30th October 2025, the Help Aid India Foundation (HAIF) team visited Darjeeling, West Bengal, to attend the 8th Darjeeling Saras Mela 2025, organised by the Government of West Bengal.

Supported by Bosco Institute under the YI Node Fellowship Program and in association with the Azim Premji Foundation, this visit offered a vibrant learning experience around art, culture, and sustainable livelihoods.

The Saras Mela brought together artisans, women-led Self Help Groups, and rural entrepreneurs from across India — all celebrating creativity as a form of livelihood. The event was a powerful reminder of how traditional crafts, when refined through skill and design innovation, can become engines of local economic growth.

This visit reinforced HAIF’s commitment to empowering rural artisans through the upcoming HAIF Incubation & Skill Hub, which will focus on product development, creative entrepreneurship, and sustainable craft-based livelihoods in Assam.
