Vikalp Sansthan successfully conducted a three-day Residential Leadership Training for adolescent boys from Gogunda and Mavli blocks at Astha Bedla Training Centre, Udaipur.
The training provided a platform for participants to reflect on their personal journeys, explore educational and career opportunities, strengthen communication and leadership skills, and enhance their understanding of healthy relationships, emotional well-being, gender equality, and child protection.
Key highlights of the training included:
• Self-reflection and experience sharing session helped participants explore their personal growth, aspirations, and future goals.
• Career guidance sessions focused on educational pathways, scholarships, vocational opportunities, and career planning.
• Interactive activities on communication, stakeholder mapping, and access to government services and essential documents.
• Discussions on healthy relationships, respect, consent, personal boundaries, and responsible behaviour.
• Sessions on emotional well-being, stress management, self-care, and seeking support when needed.
• Exploration of gender norms, patriarchy, and positive masculinity to promote equality and respectful relationships.
• Awareness sessions on child marriage, the POCSO Act, gender-based violence, and child protection mechanisms.
• Cultural programmes that encouraged creativity, teamwork, confidence, and peer learning.
• Development of individual and group action plans to address issues within schools, villages, and communities.
Through experiential learning, group discussions, storytelling, film screenings, and action planning exercises, participants developed greater self-awareness, confidence, leadership skills, and a stronger commitment to creating positive change.
