Report on CBSE Mathematics Training

A CBSE Training Programme on Mathematics was conducted on 24 August 2026 at Polo Tower, Agartala, on the theme “Beyond Teaching Towards Transforming Learning.” The training was conducted by Ms. Shweta Choudhary and Mr. Tarun Ahuja was attended by around 80 participants. Sushmita Saha and Suman Bhowmik from Brilliant Stars School attended this training session.

The trainers introduced Brain Gym Yoga for improving students’ concentration and shared various strategies to make classrooms lively. They also demonstrated movement breaks and engaging activities that can help students remain active, focused and interested during lessons. These strategies can make learning more enjoyable while supporting better classroom participation.

The session further focused on the real-life application of Mathematics and the effectiveness of S.M.A.R.T. MINDS Mathematics by Parijat Jain. Feedback was also collected from representatives of schools that are already using the book. Their experiences and observations provided useful insights into its implementation and effectiveness in the classroom.

Overall, the training was informative and practical, providing teachers with innovative ideas to make Mathematics learning more meaningful and enjoyable.

Independence Day Celebration at Brilliant Stars School
Brilliant Stars School celebrated the 80th Independence Day on 15 August 2026 with great enthusiasm, patriotic spirit, and pride. The programme began with the hoisting of the National Flag, followed by the National Song, National Anthem, and patriotic slogans.

The celebration commenced by seeking the blessings of the Almighty, followed by an inspiring opening song. Our respected Director of Administration delivered an enlightening speech on the significance of Independence and encouraged the students to serve humanity and contribute to society, thereby understanding the true meaning of freedom.

Students participated enthusiastically in a variety of patriotic songs and dance performances, showcasing their talent and love for the nation. A group of students also presented a special dance performance at the college ground as part of the Government’s Independence Day programme.

The celebration reminded the students of the sacrifices and contributions of our freedom fighters and inspired them to uphold the values of unity, freedom, responsibility, and patriotism.

The programme concluded on a joyful and inspiring note, leaving everyone with a renewed sense of pride, gratitude, and commitment towards the nation.

Brilliant Stars School organised a Joint Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM) for Classes I to IX on 9th August 2026, with an objective to bring parents and teachers together:

1. to develop a shared understanding of various developmental-related issues being faced by the adolescent students at their critical period of life.

2. to engage parents with their child in a meaningful way at home to build reading skills among junior students.

The meeting provided a platform for parents and teachers to interact collectively, exploring at a deeper level how parenting can be more effective by understanding their children’s potential and challenges.

Parents appreciated the opportunity to interact directly with teachers and discuss their children's academic and developmental needs. Parents' participation contributed significantly to the success of the meeting.

The interactive nature of the meeting helped create an atmosphere of mutual respect, openness and cooperation. Parents were encouraged to communicate regularly with teachers and seek guidance whenever their children face academic or behavioural difficulties.
The school expresses its sincere appreciation to all parents for their valuable participation, suggestions and cooperation. The school looks forward to continuing this collaborative journey to help every child become a responsible, capable learner.

Felicitation Programme for Meritorious Students– 2026

The Office of the District Education Officer, Gomati District, organised a felicitation programme on 11 August 2026 to honour meritorious students who demonstrated outstanding academic performance in the Madhyamik and Higher Secondary (+2 Stage) Examination 2026 conducted under TBSE and CBSE.

Open Day 2026 – Pre-Primary 1st Term
Brilliant Stars School warmly welcomed our Pre-Primary parents for the 1st Term Open Day on 31st July,2026. It was a delightful morning filled with meaningful interactions, happy smiles, and proud moments as parents met the class teachers, collected their children's report cards, and appreciated the wonderful progress and creative work of our little stars.
The Open Day provided a valuable opportunity for parents and teachers to discuss each child's learning journey, celebrate achievements, and work together to support their holistic growth. Teacher Professional Development

A two-day Teacher Professional Development Programme was conducted by BSS on 23rd and 24th June 2026 at its venue in East Dhajanagar, Udaipur, Gomati, as part of its commitment to continuous professional growth and instructional excellence.

The online training, reinforced by reflections and learning-integration planning, focused on key areas of teaching and learning, including early literacy development through phonics, creating a reading culture, explicit instruction, and assessment for learning.

Teachers actively engaged in reflection sessions, sharing key learnings and discussing strategies for classroom implementation. They committed to integrating the acquired knowledge and skills into lesson planning and instructional practices.

We hope that the seamless integration of learning into classroom practices will improve our teaching quality along the continuum, ultimately benefiting our students.

The Individual Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM) was successfully conducted at Brilliant Stars School (BSS) on 23rd and 24th May 2026. The primary objective of the meeting was to provide parents with detailed feedback regarding their child’s academic performance, strengths, areas requiring improvement, and overall development.

Teachers interacted individually with parents and discussed students’ subject-wise progress, classroom participation, behaviour, attendance, and learning outcomes. Constructive suggestions and guidance were provided to help students achieve their full potential. Parents actively participated in the discussions and shared valuable feedback and concerns, which were carefully addressed by the teachers.

The PTM served as an effective platform for strengthening the partnership between parents and the school, ensuring a collaborative approach towards the holistic development of the students.
