Mrs. Sindhu’s Inspiring Journey
Mrs. Sindhu is a mother of two and the wife of a daily wage earner. To support her family, she worked under a government scheme that provides breakfast to schoolchildren. However, her income was not enough to meet the household’s needs.
Her life took a positive turn when she attended a detergent powder production training program conducted by DAIA. With the skills she gained and a minimal investment, Sindhu started her own small-scale detergent powder business.
Currently, she sells her products locally, but she is enthusiastic about expanding to neighboring villages soon. With a bright smile, she proudly shares that she can now take care of her family’s essential expenses on her own.
Sindhu’s journey is a true testament to how skill development can empower women and uplift families.
