An exposure visit was successfully conducted on 29th and 30th for the beneficiaries of Rongram TDF to Kynrud under Mairang TDF implemented by NEICORD. The main objective of the visit was to provide practical exposure and learning opportunities to the beneficiaries by showcasing successful interventions and best practices implemented under another Tribal Development Fund (TDF) project.
A total of 20 beneficiaries along with 2 staff members from Rongram TDF participated in the visit. During the two-day programme, the participants interacted with the host community, observed ongoing activities, and gained firsthand experience of orchard development, farm management practices, and livelihood activities carried out under Mairang TDF.
The exposure visit helped the beneficiaries understand improved agricultural practices, plantation management, and income-generating activities. They also learned about community participation, group management, and the role of TDF in enhancing livelihoods.

A proud and memorable day for BAKDIL as all five of our Primary Health Centres (Babadam PHC, Gabil PHC, Salmanpara PHC, Siju PHC & Wageasi PHC) received special recognition on 9th December 2025 during a State-level felicitation programme graced by Shri Wailadmiki Shylla, Hon’ble Health Minister of Meghalaya. Health facilities across the State were honoured with Cash Awards for achieving esteemed Quality Certifications under NQAS, LaQshya, and MusQan, accredited by the NHSRC.

Meghalaya marked an exceptional milestone this year with 91 Health & Wellness Centres (AAM) and 11 Primary Health Centres attaining NQAS Certification, each certified PHC receiving ₹3 Lakhs as a symbol of excellence and motivation. BAKDIL’s achievements reflect the dedication, discipline, and consistent teamwork of our Medical Officers, Nurses, health staff, consultants, and programme managers who work relentlessly to deliver quality healthcare.

Adding to the honour, our Health Programme Manager Sr. Riya, along with all five PHC Managers, doctors, and staff, proudly attended the celebration, representing the spirit and commitment of our organisation on this remarkable day.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the people of Meghalaya for their trust in public health facilities, which continues to inspire us to strive for excellence. A sincere appreciation also goes out to our ASHAs, Headmen, JAS members, and Village Health Councils, whose steadfast support strengthens the foundation of our healthcare system every single day.

A Proud Moment for BAKDIL

We’re overjoyed to share that all five BAKDIL-run AAM PHCs — Babadam, Siju, Gabil, Salmanpara & Wagesi — managed through the PPP mode with the Government of Meghalaya, have earned the prestigious National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) Certification!

This milestone is part of a broader state-level achievement, where ten (10) public health facilities across Meghalaya have attained NQAS certification, including Ganesh Das MCH Hospital in Shillong, and PHCs in Marngar, Nongalbibra, Pomlum, and Asananggre. In addition, 91 Sub-Centre Health & Wellness Centres (SC HWCs – AAM) across the state have also achieved NQAS certification which includes two SC run by Bakdil under Salmanpara PHC and Wageasi PHC (Anangpara SC & Lower Sambrak SC) — a testament to Bakdil’s growing commitment to quality-driven healthcare delivery in collaboration with the district and the state health team.

This milestone, achieved alongside other certified facilities across the state, reflects the collective efforts of BAKDIL, the Health & Family Welfare Department, Government of Meghalaya, dedicated support from the Joint Directorate Committee (JDC), the Directorate Quality Teams, DM&HO, NHM, Quality Teams of all the four districts of Garo Hills, MHIS, MHSSP-IPA, and MMDSL. in strengthening healthcare quality and ensuring excellence reaches even the most remote corners of Meghalaya.
