The All India Hajong Welfare Association (AIHWA) held its Joint Consultative Conference on 24th May 2026 at IIE, Guwahati. The interim body was dissolved, and a permanent Central Executive Committee (CEC) was unanimously formed.
​The landmark meeting was held under the chairmanship of Sri Hara Kumar Hajong, IES (Retd.).
​🤝 The New Leadership Team:
👤 President: Sri Jonardhan Hajong
👤 General Secretary: Sri Anubhaavv Hajong
​Respected leaders, writers, and representatives from all apex Hajong regional organizations across Assam, Meghalaya, and Arunachal Pradesh attended to show a strong, united front.
​🚀 Key Focus Areas Ahead:
📚 1. Hajong Language in Schools: Working with state governments under NEP 2020 to introduce the Hajong language as a mother tongue or medium of instruction to benefit our students.
⚖️ 2. A Unified Constitutional Platform: Building a strong, consolidated platform to actively protect, secure, and advocate for the constitutional rights and welfare of our community across state borders.

We are pleased to announce that after a successful delegate meeting at Tangabari, the nomination process for the AIHWA Central Executive Committee (CEC) is now complete.

​To finalize the committee and discuss the future of our society, we are hosting a Joint Consultative Meeting.
