The Meghalaya Hajong Welfare Association (MHWA) expresses its deep shock, grief, and strong condemnation over the brutal murder of Mr. Dilseng M. Sangma, a dedicated member of ACHIK NGO.
The untimely and heinous killing of Mr. Dilseng M. Sangma is not only an attack on an individual but also an assault on humanity, peace, and democratic values. Such barbaric acts have no place in a civilised society and must be condemned in the strongest possible terms.
The Meghalaya Hajong Welfare Association stands in solidarity with the bereaved family, ACHIK NGO, and the entire Garo community during this moment of profound sorrow.MHWA urges the concerned authorities to conduct a fair, impartial, and speedy investigation into the incident and ensure that the perpetrators are brought to justice at the earliest. Justice delayed would only deepen the pain and insecurity among the people.
We offer our heartfelt condolences to the family of the late Mr. Dilseng M. Sangma and pray to the Almighty to grant eternal peace to the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family to endure this irreparable loss.

On behalf of the MHWA, we express our heartfelt gratitude and sincere thanks to our Chief Guest, Shri Marcuise N. Marak, Hon’ble Minister, PHE, and Shri Subir Marak, Hon’ble MLA, Rangsakona, for gracing the occasion and for their inspiring presence and valuable support. Your encouragement and kind words have greatly motivated the Hajong community and added dignity to this historic event.

We also extend our deep appreciation to the Reception Committee of Zekabari for their tireless efforts, warm hospitality, and exemplary coordination, which played a vital role in the smooth and successful conduct of the conference.

Our sincere thanks are due to all office bearers, volunteers, elders, youths, and every individual who contributed in one way or another to make the 14th Hajong General Conference 2025 a grand success. Your dedication, unity, and collective spirit truly reflect the strength and pride of the Hajong community.

Huge congratulations to Pormeet Hajong, son of Bimal Hajong, resident of Bildoba, Mahendraganj, for successfully participating in The Border Run – The Ultra Marathon held at Jaisalmer / Lungewala, organized by The Hell Race. This marathon is devoted to the martyrs and brave soldiers who defeated Pakistan in 1971 war at Longewala.

Pormeet conquered one of the toughest marathon challenges and crossed the finish line with grit and determination. His remarkable performance brought pride not only to his family and friends but also to our community truly representing us with courage and spirit. This is truly an inspiring achievement and will give others hope and inspiration to compete in various categories. On behalf of our community, we would like to thank you for representing our community with our own beautiful Phula Agon.

Hajong Youth meet was held 30/11/2025 at Sapthoka, South West Garo Hills,Meghalaya. The meeting focused on strengthening unity, promoting cultural values, and encouraging active participation in community activities. Overall, the event was successful and well-participated, reflecting the enthusiasm and aspirations of the youth. Power to the youth 🎉💪🏽👏
