On June 5 — World Environment Day — I'm offering something different.

Not a talk about the environment. A 90-minute inquiry about the people working to change it.

The session is called Who is holding you? — and it makes one argument: that the most urgent environmental work begins inside the leaders driving it. That systems change requires people who are not running on empty. That giving without a return path — to communities, to causes, to the planet — eventually hollows out.

We'll spend 90 minutes in genuine inquiry. Real questions. Small group. No slides.

When? Friday, June 5 | World Environment Day
Time: 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM
Medium: Online — Zoom (link will be sent via email to registered participants)
Energy: Pay as you can (suggested contribution: Rs.399/-
Limited to 15 participants.

The PageTurner’s Club — 12-Week Readathon

This summer, give them something that lasts.

Just 20 minutes a day for 84 days — and a reading rhythm begins to take root. Before screens take over the holidays, here is a gentler alternative.

We’re opening a small 12-week reading journey for children aged 5–16. A physical kit arrives by post with your child’s name on it, ready to begin.

No tests.
No competition.
No screens.

Just a child, a book, and a little quiet every day.

Inside the kit:

• Bingo card (age-wise levels)
• Sensory discovery guide
• Reading passport (pledge, log and badges)
• Sticker sheet
• Bookmark
• Printed certificate
• Handwritten welcome note

How it works:

• Three levels — Easy (5–8), Intermediate (9–12), Advanced (13–16)
• Gentle WhatsApp nudges and community sharing (three times a week)
• Ten collectible badges
• Carefully screened, age-appropriate content
• 20%+ Indian authors
• A meaningful alternative to excess screen time

Pricing:

₹499 per child + shipping
₹299 per additional sibling
International: $25 + shipping

Limited to 25 spots (10/25 filled)

You can also gift a child a spot. Parents, grandparents, aunts, teachers, friends — anyone can send a box with a child’s name on it. It’s the kind of post they remember.

Dates:

Cohort 1: March 15 – June 7, 2026
Registration closes: March 10

ஓதாமல் ஒருநாளும் இருக்க வேண்டாம்.
“Let not a single day pass without learning.”

Before screens win the summer, give them something better — a box that arrives by post with their name on it, a passport full of adventures waiting to happen, and a community of readers who show up every single day.

Off late, I have been called to offer services that emerge at the intersection of spirituality and regeneration.

Here is a formal re-introduction of myself and the work I have set out to do.

If you'd like to work with me, drop a DM. I can't wait to see where our work will take us on this journey.

The Young Readers Book Club of Tiruvannamalai

Every other Sunday morning, we will hold space for young readers to come together, celebrate the joy of reading, and experience the unfolding of understanding and compassion in the heart as they journey with the characters of a story.

In the gatherings, each child, having chosen and read a book from a pre-selected list of books with a common thread (giving, living truthfully, exploring relationships with the world, persevering, etc.), would share their reflections on the book and learn to listen to the reflections of their peers in a compassionate and open-hearted manner.

By creating a space for exploration of the world through stories, it is our heartfelt wish and aspiration to hold space for youngsters to grow into thoughtful, responsible, warmhearted, attentive, considerate, and beautiful humans.

Some of our intentions for the book club:

🌸 To meet the needs of a growing child to come together with their peers in a nurturing and inspiring manner
🌸 To encourage reading and allow the power of stories to open one's heart
🌸 To create a non-competitive and non-judgemental yet collaborative space for youngsters to grow within while also developing their English language and reading skills
🌸 To bring into their exposure a wide range of books and perspectives, some of which they might not know or read about otherwise
🌸 To drastically bring down their screen time and direct it towards healing the impact they might be enduring because of it
🌸 To encourage deeper reflection about life, circumstances, beliefs, opinions, and people to nurture a rich and peaceful inner life within them
🌸 To help them learn to express their understanding in a respectful and considerate manner and to listen to others without judgments and with openness
🌸 To hold space for them in learning to disagree respectfully and receive feedback graciously, without being emotional or taking them personally

The book club will come together for the first time on the 22nd of this month. If your child loves to read and would like to explore being in companionship with other children who also love the written word, please get in touch with us. If your child has not so far involved in or shown interest in reading but you would love for them to witness and be moved by stories and thus invoke the joy of reading within them, you are also warmly invited to bring them to the gatherings 🙏

Duration: 1 hr
Frequency: Every other Sunday
Time: 10 - 11 am
Venue: Recenter Intentional Community

Please note that the gathering is for those who are reading chapter books (and not children's books, although children are very welcome) 🌸🙏

What to Expect:
• Stories of Devotion: Hear select incidents that showcase the saints’ unwavering faith, divine experiences, and contributions to Tamil Shaivism.
• Tēvāram Hymns: Learn one soul-stirring song from each saint, delving into its lyrical beauty, meaning, and devotional significance.

Whether you are a spiritual seeker, music enthusiast or a lover of Tamil literature, this session is an opportunity to (re)connect with the profound legacy of the Nālvar.

Narration will be in English, while hymns are in Tamil.
Young kids are welcome too, will have some colouring sheets for them.

Dear Friends,

We are inspired to join the All Living Things Environment Film Festival (https://watch.eventive.org/alteff24) at Recenter IC. .eff is India’s premiere showcase of today’s climate stories.

This weekend we will watch two movies
👓Friday, 29 Nov, 12 pm
Plastic People
👓Saturday 30 Nov, 10 am
Reading Landscapes

In our attempt at creating pathways for alternative learning, earning, and living, we find movies like these do more than creating awareness, but also find meaningful ways to take action in our local neighborhood for climate resilience.

Let’s become climate aware, and design intentional living!

Mothering the mother in us
Inviting all mothers for a sacred circle ⭕

Being a mother is both
beautiful and messy;
fulfilling and exhausting;
gratifying and chaotic;
an opportunity and a challenge

Most often than not there is not enough space created for the mother to rest, reflect and regroup. We are so carried away by the everyday tasks and our never ending checklists.

Let's take some time tomorrow to reconnect with our being through art and silence. We will also have a listening circle to hear the difficulties we currently face in mothering the mother in us.

If you think you might find comfort in this offering, stop by at Recenter IC

RSVP so I am adequately prepared to hold this space for you. 🌸💖🌼
