Centre for Autism India (CAI) is a non-governmental charitable organization registered under the government of India Act. CAI has been working among children with developmental disabilities since 2014. The Centre for disease control (CDC) has estimated that approximately 2 in 10 school aged children are diagnosed with ASD. India’s population of more than one billion, the second largest in the wo
rld is the home to 10 million people with autism and other disabilities, showing rapid increase over the last few years. Hence this is an area that needs research, support and further action. OUR VISION:
Centre for Autism India is a viable instrument of social change with particular focus on children with developmental disabilities. OUR MISSION:
Our emphasis is on special education, health programmes and research whereby empowering millions of differently abled sections of society, their families and communities, to incorporate them into the mainstream of life. We aim to coordinate with local organisation and NGO’S working in the field of developmental disabilities across the country. Our goal will be implemented by monitoring and reporting performance at community , state and national levels to protect the differently abled children from abuse, neglect to right and other forms of maltreatment would be our prime objective.
