Ni****ne no longer arrives only through traditional ci******es. Products like flavored vapes, ni****ne pouches, smokeless to***co, and other heavily marketed alternatives are often designed to look modern, social, convenient, and less dangerous, making addiction easier to normalize among children and teenagers.

What is presented as harmless experimentation can slowly become dependency at a very young age.

Research shows that ni****ne exposure during adolescence can affect attention, mood, memory, impulse control, and brain development. Yet many young people continue to encounter products and advertising that minimize these risks while appealing directly to curiosity, identity, and social belonging.

World No To***co Day is not only about ci******es anymore. It is also about recognizing how addiction adapts, how marketing influences young minds, and why awareness must evolve with changing trends.

Children deserve informed choices, healthier environments, honest education, and protection from industries that profit from addiction.

Menstrual hygiene conversations often begin with health and dignity, but they should also include environmental impact.

Most disposable sanitary pads contain plastic layers that can take hundreds of years to break down, contributing to growing landfill waste and environmental pollution. With millions used and discarded daily, menstrual waste has become a silent environmental concern.

Sustainable menstrual products are not about pressure or perfection. They are about awareness, accessibility, informed choices, and creating conversations without shame.

Reusable cloth pads, menstrual cups, period underwear, and biodegradable sanitary products are some eco-friendly alternatives that can reduce long-term waste while supporting menstrual health.

This Menstrual Hygiene Day, let’s normalize conversations around periods and sustainability.

Every species; from forests and oceans to insects, birds, fungi, and microorganisms, plays a role in maintaining the delicate balance of life on Earth. Biodiversity is what keeps ecosystems resilient, productive, and alive.
Yet deforestation, pollution, climate change, habitat destruction, and human exploitation continue to push countless species toward extinction.

Protecting biodiversity is not only about saving animals.
It is about protecting food systems, clean water, medicine, climate stability, and the future generations that will inherit this planet after us.

Conservation begins with awareness, but it must continue through action.
Because once biodiversity is lost, restoration becomes harder than prevention.

Mothers are often the quiet strength behind every family and every community.

They nurture with resilience, lead with compassion, and continue to give even in the face of challenges.
At VOICE Trust, we witness the strength of mothers every day in farms, homes, self-help groups, communities, and in the lives they shape with care and determination.
This Mother’s Day, we celebrate every mother whose love, labour, and courage continue to build a better future for the next generation.

Happy Mother’s Day from all of us at VOICE Trust.

On this May Day, we recognise the strength, resilience, and dedication of every worker who contributes to building stronger communities.

From farmers who sustain our food systems, to social workers who support and empower lives at the grassroots — each role is vital, each effort meaningful.

At VOICE Trust, we work closely with communities where labour is not just work, but a foundation for dignity, growth, and collective progress.

Today, we celebrate the people behind the progress — the hands that build, nurture, and transform.

Wishing all workers a proud and meaningful May Day.

We are profoundly humbled and proud to announce that VOICE TRUST has been officially recognized as a Green Champion for 2025, a prestigious state-level award instituted by the Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board (TNPCB). This recognition celebrates our long-standing commitment to environmental protection, ecological restoration, and environmental education.

After a rigorous evaluation process conducted by the Pollution Control Board and the Forest Department, our environmental initiatives were selected for their measurable impact, sustainability, and long-term contribution to environmental awareness.

A Legacy of Environmental Stewardship

For 28 years, VOICE TRUST has been at the forefront of environmental education and conservation in Tamil Nadu.

As pioneers in environmental education, VOICE TRUST played a key role in initiating and promoting the National Green Corps (NGC) programme in the region—one of the largest school-based environmental education movements in India.

Through this initiative and other environmental programmes, VOICE TRUST reaches approximately 24,360 students every year, nurturing young environmental stewards who actively participate in protecting their local ecosystems.

Over the past 28 years, this means that more than 6,82,000 students have been sensitized and engaged in environmental learning, tree planting, biodiversity awareness, water conservation, and climate action.

From reforestation and ecosystem restoration to community-led conservation and youth engagement, our work is guided by the belief that environmental awareness today creates responsible citizens for tomorrow.
