Meet Magdalene Mercy. 💚
When Mercy joined Ezhumin Special School in 2024, communication and participation were difficult. She was hesitant to engage and still finding ways to express herself. With speech therapy, learning support, patience, and encouragement from her family and teachers, Mercy gradually found her voice. She became more confident, communicated more clearly, and began answering questions independently. Today, she is in 1st Grade at a regular school while continuing her therapy and learning journey. Her story reminds us that progress can be found in the smallest moments a first answer, the courage to speak, or simply choosing to participate. With the right support and opportunity, a hesitant beginning can become a confident future. 💚
Meet Sai Rithvik. 💚
At one and a half, Rithvik’s parents noticed that he had difficulty standing steadily and were advised to explore special education and therapy. When he came to EZHUMIN at around three and a half, he had difficulty sitting independently, often lost his balance and fell, and faced behavioural challenges. Through physiotherapy, therapy, behavioural support, and patient encouragement, he gradually began participating more consistently, became more comfortable with others, and started becoming part of the group. Today, Rithvik is mingling with other children, participating, responding, and continuing to improve. His journey reminds us that progress doesn’t always come in leaps it can be sitting without falling, joining a group, or taking one small step forward. At EZHUMIN, every step and every breakthrough matters. Because children don’t need to fit someone else’s timeline; they need the support and opportunity to discover their own. 💚
