Indian Institute of Management Tiruchirappalli was honored to have Senjuti Bhattacharyya –Senior Product Manager, Agoda, Thailand, Bangkok for the Guest Lecture on Role of Data Analytics in Business Decision Making for Managers hosted by the Matrix -Systems and Analytics Club of IIM Trichy as part of Corporate Guest Lecture Series 2020-21. Ms. Senjuti narrated the major growth drivers in the analytics industry and how the trending technologies like Machine Learning using Python and R are ruling the market. She explained how the travel and hospitality industry is adopting changes due to COVID-19 and the hypothesis behind the need for Inquisitive Data Analytics and how it can be implemented followed by Q&A session

IIM Trichy hosted its third edition of the Annual Management Conclave Nishtha 3.0, which encompassed a foray of panel discussions, guest lectures and national level competitions. As part of Nishtha 3.0, Matrix -Systems and Analytics Club of IIM Trichy, facilitated an interactive session for the students with Ms. Shampa Ganguly, CEO & Co-Founder, Citility; which provides complete end-to-end solution for real-world IoT applications, including gateway and sensor hardware.

Ms Shampa kickstarted the session by talking about her Entrepreneurial journey and the challenges faced by women to break the glass ceiling in the corporate world. She also talked about the potential of Artificial Intelligence and IoT to make impactful changes to the real world and the future plans of expansion of Citility in Kolkata, Pune, etc. The event ended with an interactive Q&A session. We are privileged to be a part of this informative session and express our heartfelt gratitude to Ms Shampa for imparting us with knowledge and sharing her experiences.

DCUBE
Data • Drive • Decision
The case study competition was successfully conducted by Team Matrix. Our judges for this event included Dr Sujeet Kumar Sharma, who also gave tips about how to capture more insights from the data. The Team Purple Habibi from IIM Bangalore emerged as winners while the Team KPCR from NMIMS stood runner up for the competition.
There was a lot of learning involved and many participants found out that analysing data has enormous options. Even our judges were highly engrossed in the data and the analytics involved!

The event will also be graced by Ms. Shampa Ganguly, CEO, CITILITY who would be sharing her Entrepreneurial journey and Corporate learnings of leveraging AI engine in Mobility space with the students.
