Under the Aardram Programme, Creativiti Council is happy to share that we have provided 20 CiCare self-operated backrests to deserving bedridden patients, supporting their dignity, independence, and quality of life.

For people who spend most of their time in bed, even a simple ability to sit up can make a meaningful difference in everyday life. CiCare is designed to make this possible through an affordable, manually operated, and user-friendly solution.

The PROLINNOVA Asia Residency & Knowledge Exchange Programme, being held in Idukki, Kerala, from 21–24 September 2026, will bring together innovators and practitioners from India and Nepal to share farmer-led innovations, climate-smart agriculture and participatory innovation approaches.

**A Small Innovation, A Big Difference ❤️**

We are deeply grateful to **Assisi Snehashram, Kattappana**, for their heartfelt letter of appreciation after receiving two **CiCare Self-Operated Backrests** for bedridden residents **Achu** and **Suresh Babu**.

The letter beautifully describes how the backrests have brought comfort, dignity, and greater independence by enabling them to sit up with proper support, eat more comfortably, interact with others, and experience relief from the physical challenges of being bedridden.

This initiative was made possible through the generous support of **VOSAP (Voice of Specially Abled Persons)**. We are also thankful to the **Ardram Memorial Fund**, which partnered with **Creativiti Council** to make these life-changing assistive devices accessible to those in need.

At **Creativiti Council**, we believe that innovation should reach the people who need it most. **CiCare** is more than a backrest—it is a simple, affordable assistive technology that restores comfort, dignity, and independence to bedridden individuals and reduces the burden on caregivers.

കരുതലിന്റെ കരങ്ങൾ – ഒരു കിടപ്പുരോഗിക്ക് സ്വയംപര്യാപ്തത സമ്മാനിച്ച ജിയന്ന വനിതാ സ്വയംസഹായ സംഘം

❤️ ഒരു ചെറിയ തീരുമാനത്തിന് ഒരാളുടെ ജീവിതം മാറ്റിമറിക്കാനാകും.

കാഞ്ഞിരപ്പള്ളി അമല സർവീസ് സെന്ററിന് കീഴിൽ പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്ന ഗിയന്ന വനിതാ സ്വയംസഹായ സംഘത്തിന്റെ വാർഷിക യോഗത്തിലാണ് അംഗങ്ങൾ CiCare സ്വയം പ്രവർത്തിപ്പിക്കാവുന്ന ബാക്ക്‌റെസ്റ്റ് നേരിൽ കാണുകയും അതിന്റെ പ്രവർത്തനം മനസ്സിലാക്കുകയും ചെയ്തത്.

കിടപ്പുരോഗികൾ നേരിടുന്ന ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടുകളും അവരെ പരിചരിക്കുന്നവരുടെ കഠിനമായ പ്രയത്‌നവും മനസ്സിലാക്കിയ സംഘം, യോഗത്തിൽ തന്നെ ഒരു തീരുമാനമെടുത്തു. തങ്ങളുടെ ശൃംഖലയിലുള്ള അർഹനായ ഒരു കിടപ്പുരോഗിക്ക് CiCare ലഭ്യമാക്കാൻ അവർ മുന്നിട്ടിറങ്ങി.

അവരുടെ ആദ്യ ഗുണഭോക്താവായത് ശ്രീ. അജി യോഹന്നാൻ ആണ്. നട്ടെല്ലിന് പരിക്കേറ്റതിനെ തുടർന്ന് കിടപ്പിലായ അജിക്ക് Voice of Specially Abled People (VOSAP)-ന്റെ സാമ്പത്തിക സഹായവും ജിയന്ന വനിതാ സ്വയംസഹായ സംഘത്തിന്റെ പിന്തുണയും ലഭിച്ചതോടെ CiCare സ്വന്തമാക്കാൻ സാധിച്ചു.

ഇപ്പോൾ അജിക്ക് ഭക്ഷണം കഴിക്കാനും, മരുന്ന് കഴിക്കാനും, ഇരിക്കാനും, മറ്റ് ദൈനംദിന ആവശ്യങ്ങൾക്കും മറ്റൊരാളുടെ സഹായം തേടാതെ സ്വയം ശരീരം ഉയർത്താൻ കഴിയുന്നു. ഇത് അദ്ദേഹത്തിനും കുടുംബത്തിനും വലിയ ആശ്വാസവും ആത്മവിശ്വാസവും സമ്മാനിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

ഈ മാറ്റം നേരിൽ കണ്ട ഗിയന്ന വനിതാ സ്വയംസഹായ സംഘാംഗങ്ങൾ ഇനി കൂടുതൽ കിടപ്പുരോഗികൾക്ക് CiCare എത്തിക്കാൻ താൽപര്യം പ്രകടിപ്പിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.

ഈ സംരംഭം ഇടവക ജനങ്ങളിലേക്ക് എത്തിക്കുകയും ദേവാലയത്തിൽ പ്രഖ്യാപനം നടത്തുകയും ചെയ്ത ഫാ. ജോസ് വലിയമൂട്ടം അച്ചനോടും ഹൃദയം നിറഞ്ഞ നന്ദി അറിയിക്കുന്നു.

ഒരു സമൂഹം ഒന്നിച്ചാൽ എത്ര വലിയ മാറ്റമാണ് സൃഷ്ടിക്കാനാകുന്നത് എന്നതിന്റെ മനോഹരമായ ഉദാഹരണമാണ് ഈ പ്രവർത്തനം.
