LDF Felicitates Dr. Mohd. Azharuddin for PhD Achievement
The Lilong Development Forum (LDF) organised a felicitation programme on 8 August 2026 at Turel Ahanbi, Ubakthong Makha, in honour of Dr. Mohd. Azharuddin, General Secretary of LDF, on the successful completion of his PhD.
Dr. Mohd. Azharuddin has been associated with the Lilong Development Forum since 2018 as a Founder Joint Secretary. He has worked sincerely and dedicatedly for the welfare and development of the people of Lilong. Despite being a student and researcher at NIT Manipur, he has always given his valuable time to the activities of the Forum.
He successfully completed his PhD on 24 July 2026 with the thesis entitled “Design and Implementation of Compact MIMO Antennas with Enhanced Isolation.” He also qualified GATE in 2024 and UGC-NET in 2018, reflecting his continuous dedication to academic excellence and research.
During the felicitation programme, senior LDF member Dr. Ayub Ali presented a gift to Dr. Mohd. Azharuddin and congratulated him on his achievement. He also appreciated Dr. Mohd. Azharuddin's contribution to the Forum and appealed to students to reject mass-copying culture in order to protect the quality of education and reduce corruption.
LDF President Kh. Ziaur Rahman congratulated Dr. Mohd. Azharuddin and appealed to students and research scholars not to give money or engage in any corrupt practice during government job recruitment. He encouraged the public to make proper use of the Right to Information (RTI) Act when they have concerns regarding examination marks, selection or non-selection in government recruitment, describing RTI as an important tool for protecting transparency and the interests of meritorious candidates.
The President also expressed his gratitude to the family of Dr. Mohd. Azharuddin for their continuous cooperation and support. He thanked all LDF members and the people of Lilong for their participation and support.
He further assured that the Lilong Development Forum will organise an awareness camp soon for the students of Lilong, focusing on education, competitive examinations, career opportunities, transparency and awareness of their rights.
The programme concluded with congratulations to Dr. Mohd. Azharuddin for his academic achievement and appreciation of his continued commitment to the welfare of the people of Lilong.
