Dr. Angomcha Bimol Akoijam has written to the Governor of Manipur, Shri A.K. Bhalla, expressing strong condemnation over a reported incident on May 20, where security personnel allegedly forced the removal of the word “Manipur” from a state-owned transport bus carrying journalists to the Shirui Lily Festival.

Calling the act “unconstitutional” and “treasonous,” Dr. Bimol urged the Governor to take immediate action against those responsible, warning that such actions threaten the integrity of the state and the Constitution.

The bus trip was part of an official DIPR-sponsored delegation to the festival inaugurated by the Governor himself.
