As part of the Hormis Memorial Foundation initiative of Federal Bank, inspired by the vision and values of its founder, employees enthusiastically came together to donate gently used clothing for individuals in need.
On this World Environment Day, this thoughtful act of giving goes far beyond charity. By extending the life cycle of textiles, it helps reduce the burden on landfills, promotes responsible consumption, and encourages a culture of reuse and upcycling. Every garment diverted from waste becomes an opportunity to conserve resources, reduce environmental impact, and provide dignity and comfort to someone in need.
What may no longer serve one household can become a valuable resource for another—transforming "waste" into worth and fostering a more sustainable and compassionate community. This reflects the spirit of World Environment Day by highlighting how small, conscious actions can contribute to a healthier planet and a more sustainable future.
At AWCEM Foundation, we remain deeply committed to the cause of sustainable waste management, circular economy practices, and social responsibility. We are extremely pleased to be a part of this meaningful collaboration with Federal Bank and the Hormis Memorial Foundation in creating positive environmental and social impact while celebrating the importance of environmental stewardship on World Environment Day.
