"Mom... I don't want to go to school."

Behind those trembling words was a nightmare no child should ever have to face. A minor girl, pushed to the absolute brink of su***de, driven by the toxic cruelty of anonymous online confession pages and digital hate.

When it comes to the cyber safety of our children, there should be no barriers.
No metrics. No comparisons. No ego. Your only motive must be their welfare.

When this crisis unfolded, an active cyber volunteer reached out to NCORE Foundation. We immediately brought in our Mission Partner, Dr. Raksh*t Tandon (Founder, RT Cyber Academy & Advisor, UP Police Cyber Crime HQ). True to his dedication, he stepped up instantly, proving that when a child needs help, true leaders put everything aside to answer the call.

What Parents & Teachers Can Do:
🔍 Check: Search your child’s school name on social media for hidden confession pages or targeting.
📱 Know: Understand the platforms, privacy settings, and interactions in your child's digital life.
🚩 Notice: Watch for withdrawal, anxiety, or sudden changes in behavior.
🛑 Preserve & Report: Take screenshots, avoid public confrontation, report on the platform, and escalate to authorities (cybercrime.gov.in).

Let us not wait for another child to reach the edge. Check. Notice. Listen. Act.

What kind of freedom are we leaving our children? 🇮🇳

We won our freedom once as a nation. Today, a quieter battle demands our attention—a battle against endless scrolling, digital dependence, and a childhood slowly disappearing behind a screen.

This Independence Day, NCORE Foundation and Digital Detox Junior (DDJ) are uniting for true freedom. Let us not leave them a brighter screen. Let us leave them a brighter tomorrow.

🔥 SHE SAW IT COMING. BEFORE THE WORLD DID.

Week 1 of NCORE Foundation’s Digital Detox Junior begins with a voice that was ahead of its time.

Back in 2003, when the internet was still slow and the conversation around excessive screen use had barely begun, Dr. Menaka Manickaraj was already asking questions.

Then she became a mother.

She didn’t want to simply keep children away from screens. She wanted to understand them, challenge them and, in her words, “hijack the screens” before the screens hijacked childhood.

What started as a mother’s concern grew into a movement that reached parents, teachers and schools.

Today, we are proud to feature this visionary as part of Week 1 of Digital Detox Junior. 🌱

Because sometimes, the people who see the problem first are the ones who have the courage to act first.

🎥 Watch. 💡 Reflect. ❤️ Share the message.

Because the future of childhood cannot be left to the algorithm.

🇮🇳 One child. One school. One family at a time.

Missed our Cyber Aware Thursday session?

This is one conversation every parent, teacher, educator and policymaker should not miss.

Today, we are not just raising children.

We are raising the first generation growing up with Agentic AI.

The question is...

Will AI become their greatest tool...

or will they become dependent on it?

🎙️ Hear Dr. Pavan Duggal, Advocate, Supreme Court of India and Chairman, International Commission on Cyber Security Law, as he shares thought provoking insights on:

• The rise of Agentic AI

• The danger of children becoming "cognitive slaves" to technology

• AI hallucinations and why blind trust in AI can be risky

• Three powerful messages for every parent, teacher and elder in the age of AI

The session also marks the unveiling of Digital Detox Junior, a FREE 9 Week national initiative by NCORE Foundation, India's First Human Centric Cyber Rehabilitation Enabler.

📖 NCORE Testimonial Diary | Chapter 4

"I thought my money was gone forever."

At 11:47 PM, a fraud alert changed everything.

An unauthorised credit card transaction.

Panic.

Confusion.

Fear.

Instead of waiting till morning, he reached out to NCORE Foundation.

We responded immediately.

With the right guidance, timely escalation and proper coordination, the bank was able to stop the fraudulent transaction and recover the money.

His testimonial (shared with permission) is a reminder that in cybercrime, the first few minutes can make all the difference.

⚠️ If your credit card is misused:

✅ Block the card immediately

✅ Inform your bank without delay

✅ Preserve all evidence

✅ Report the incident at once

Most people know about 1930.

Very few know the critical step that can significantly improve recovery chances in many credit card fraud cases.

We don't publish it publicly for obvious reasons.

Honoured to be invited as the Resource Person for the Faculty Development Programme at Lady Doak College, Madurai, India on "Cyber Security", jointly organised by the Centre for Human Resource Development and the Centre for Value Education on 24 June 2026.

Representing NCORE Foundation's commitment to cyber awareness, digital resilience, and cyber psychology education, we look forward to delivering a session titled "The Web's Web: Understanding and Evading Digital Traps."

In an increasingly connected world, cyber threats are designed not only to exploit technological vulnerabilities but also human psychology.

🧠 From social media platforms that influence behaviour through FOMO, validation-seeking, and oversharing...

💳 To digital payment scams that manipulate trust, urgency, fear, and authority...
..understanding the psychology behind digital behaviour has become essential for cyber safety.

The session will explore how awareness, critical thinking, and informed digital habits can help individuals recognize and evade the traps woven into today's online ecosystem.

Grateful to the organisers for this opportunity and looking forward to an enriching interaction with the participants.

🚨 What if a student in your classroom is already showing signs… and no one sees it?

Low attention.
Irritability.
Withdrawal.
A constant pull toward screens.

This is not a passing phase. It is a pattern that is quietly shaping young minds, often before adults recognise its depth.

Across classrooms today, educators are witnessing a subtle but powerful shift. Attention spans are shrinking. Emotional regulation is becoming harder. Real world engagement is being replaced by digital dependency. By the time these signs become obvious, the impact is already significant.

The question is no longer whether this is happening.
The real question is whether we are equipped to respond in time.

Can teachers identify these early signals with clarity?
Can schools intervene before dependency turns into long term disruption?
Or will it continue to move silently through classrooms, unnoticed?

Because when we miss these early signs, we are not just losing attention. We risk losing connection, curiosity, and in some cases, the child’s ability to engage with the real world.

Ncore Foundation was built to address this growing reality. As India’s first cyber rehabilitation enabler, the focus is not just on awareness, but on meaningful action within school ecosystems. The aim is clear and urgent: equip those closest to children with the ability to recognise, respond, and rebuild.

Through the Digital Detox Junior Program, we focus on one critical lever of change
teachers.

Our Train the Teacher Program empowers educators with structured approaches to identify early warning signs, address screen dependency, and rebuild focus where it matters most.

⚠️ If even one child is overlooked, can any institution truly say it has done enough?

Nominations are now open for schools that are ready to act before the signs become consequences.

Limited seats. Timely action matters.
