Sub: National Award Scheme for Empowerment of India by Citizens with Disabilities - Application submitted. I am Dr.Malainkeezhu V Preman, S/o. Velayudhan Pillai, hereby submit my humble request in specific performance before your office to consider me for the above award for the year .
I belong to a middle class Hindu family of OBC category in Thiruvananthapuram district of Kerala, I was born on 27.05.1978 as the second child of Mrs.Velayudhan and Mrs. Rudrani Amma. I was born with 85% disability. Studied till 10th standard at LFHS School, Anthiyoorkonam Thiruvananthapuram. After that she completed industrial training course from Central Government (VRC) ITI, Mannantala,Thiruvananthapuram. Since my childhood, I have also been able to better understand the difficulties of different levels of follower beings. So I decided to immerse myself in activities that help my followers. I am also doing various social service activities along with my studies. I especially focus on helping people with various physical disabilities.Mental Disabilities and In 2000 it took the initiative to form an organization called Rashtriya Vikalanga Sangh(RVS) to help the poor and underprivileged among the differently abled. Every year differently abled students in Kerala provide free food, festival kits and new cloths to the differently abled as part of the mission of Nadhata to provide articles, uniforms and scholarship benefits to more than 700 students.Also we provide free medicine, wheelchair and hospital expenses for poor patients. Palliative care and free medical assistance to bedridden members at their homes.
We have also succeeded in building houses for the homeless poor in the institution. Every year we organize a community marriage ceremony where marriages between disabled couples are organized and we provide wedding dresses, gold jewelery and necessary financial assistance. On 26.09.2016 a differently-abled woman named Isha got married to a differently-abled man. For this, the organization gave 3 1/2 pawan of gold and wedding clothes. We also provide free skill development training program to our members to equip them to lead an independent life.Financial assistance was collected from well-wishers, philanthropic organizations and government machinery and channeled to the differently-abled. I dedicated my life for the upliftment of all differently abled people in Kerala. I will strive for my mission. I will continue my efforts.
