Action Council Vellarada

The Action Council Vellarada has been founded in 1993 mainly to fight against the preparation, consumption, transportation and the sale of illicit liquor and other narcotics from in and around the Village Panchayat of Vellarada. starting with the eventful ' Pannimala Liberation Movement' (1993-2003) and covering the Tribal area Liberation Movement (2000-2009) the Action Council Vellarada could earn a good reputation from the poor and downtrodden natives in addition to the admiration from various Government departments, media and study teams alike. As an Action Group though it had to frighten the authorities now and then, in the long run those attempts were well appreciated by all. With a genuine Development Vision and the boldness to put it in to practice, the Action Council Vellrada could take up the leadership in many of teh State level joint initiatives in collaboration as well as the Non- Governmental Organisations.
