Yesterday, a delegation of GENC/BMS had a courtesy/introduction meeting with Hon'ble MoS (I/C) Science & Technology and MoS PMO, Dr. Jitendra Singh Ji, at Parliament House. A memorandum was submitted highlighting major issues of government employees:

1. Immediate constitution of the 8th CPC
2. Scrapping of NPS & UPS and restoration of the Old Pension Scheme
3. Enhancement of compassionate appointment quota from 5% and one-time relaxation
4. Cadre review for ISRO admin staff
5. Release of 18 months DA arrears frozen during COVID-19
6. Restoration of commuted pension after 12 years (instead of 15)
7. Transfer of DR vacancies to DPC quota in AFHQ Civil Services
8. Reduction in residency period for promotion
9. Cashless medical treatment for all Central Government employees in CGHS/CS(MA) hospitals
10. Regular JCM meetings as per DoP&T instructions
11. Pay fixation and leave encashment for re-employed Ex-Servicemen (PBOR)
12. Model RRs for common cadres like firefighting staff
13. Clarification in CCS (Leave) Rules 1972 for conversion of half-pay leave into commuted leave (up to 3 days without a medical certificate)

After a detailed discussion, the Hon'ble Minister assured the delegation that the best possible efforts will be made to resolve the issues in true spirit.

ബ്ലോക്കിൻ്റെ ഉദ്ഘാടന കർമ്മം നിർവഹിക്കുന്നതിനായി ഇന്ന് തിരുവനന്തപുരത്ത് എത്തിച്ചേർന്ന ആദരണീയ കേന്ദ്ര ശാസ്ത്ര സാങ്കേതിക വകുപ്പ് മന്ത്രി ഡോ. ജിതേന്ദ്ര സിംഗ് ജിയെ തിരുവനന്തപുരം വിമാനത്താവളത്തിൽ ശ്രീ ചിത്ര എംപ്ലോയീസ് സംഘ് ഭാരവാഹികൾ സ്വീകരിച്ചു.

പ്രശസ്ത ടോക്സിക്കോളജിസ്റ്റും ശാസ്ത്രജ്ഞനുമായ ഡോ പി.വി മോഹനൻ അന്തരിച്ചു. കേന്ദ്ര സർക്കാരിൻ്റെ കോവിഡ് 19 വാക്സീൻ എംപവേർഡ് കമ്മിറ്റി അംഗമായിരുന്നു. ശ്രീ ചിത്ര തിരുനാൾ ഇൻസ്റ്റിറ്റ്യൂട്ട് ഫോർ മെഡിക്കൽ സയൻസസ് ആൻഡ് ടെക്നോളജി ടോക്സിക്കോളജി ഡിവിഷൻ മേധാവിയായി പ്രവർത്തിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. ബയോ മെഡിക്കൽ ടെക്നോളജി വിങ്ങിൻ്റെ ടെക്നിക്കൽ മാനേജരായും ഗവേഷണ വിഭാഗത്തിൻ്റെ അസോസിയേറ്റ് ഡീനായും പ്രവർത്തിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. പി.വി കുഞ്ഞമ്പു നായരുടെയും പാർവ്വതി അമ്മയുടെയും മകനായി കണ്ണൂർ ചെറുകുന്ന് കണ്ണപുരത്ത് 1962ൽ ജനിച്ച ഡോ.പി.വി മോഹനൻ വിദേശ സർവ്വകലാശാലകളിലും വിവിധ ഗവേഷണ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങളിലും വിസിറ്റിങ് പ്രൊഫസറായും വിസിറ്റിങ് റിസർച്ചറായും സേവനം അനുഷ്ഠിച്ചു. സംസ്കാരം സെപ്റ്റംബർ 01 ഞായർ വൈകുന്നേരം കണ്ണപുരം സമുദായ ശ്മശാനത്തിൽ.
